It looks so plain but it is very flattering and comfortable to wear! It's super easy to dress up too! It's a timeless piece for any occasion. The cold shoulder makes it modern and relevant.

I loved this dress - perfect for work and so on trend. The dress runs large, and as people previously mentioned, has a wide waist. So I opted to wear a belt with it. I think it looked nice.

This dress is killer...! Omgosh. Men went crazy for it. Most comfortable dress I can recall ever putting on and I wore it on back to back trips to NYC. Perfect for all seasons-the fabric is a sturdy knit that smoothes imperfections but is light enough for the warmest day. Devine!!

This dress is gorgeous! It hit me right at the knee, and I am 5'9". This dress was comfortable, I threw a blazer over it for work, then uncovered for a wine tasting that night! I wish I could keep it forever!

Derek Lam is on fire with this. I seriously cannot imagine a figure this doesn't flatter. You can wear a regular bra, the material is stretchy and textured such that it hides flaws. Add a little bit of shoulder showing and a much prettier color than pictures relay and you will be so happy to have. Wish I owned it, I say I'll rent again but Unlimited has so many good choices I may not find the time!

This dress was amazing for work. I would say this dress was true to size. It has a relax fit which made it great for the office. If I would to order this again, I would try one size down just to see if I would like the fit better. It wasn't bad, just not as fitted as I expected. I also found the dress a little longer on me than the picture on the model.

I really enjoyed this dress! It was so comfy and easy to wear, and since we were having a family dinner I didn't feel like I needed it more fitted. If I had worn this to a reunion, it would be more flattering fitted. I'm 5'2" and about 125 lbs in this pic but I did have to wear a push up bra to make it look more fitted and flattering. If you have skinny arms then the sleeves may hang down annoyingly, but if you have really beefy arms, they may be too tight. I'd recommend getting this with a back up size depending on yours. It isn't really too fitted anywhere else, if anything, it's a bit baggy. I don't know how this would look on a really petite framed person, especially if they have narrow or sloped shoulders. In that case size down. This definitely would look great on hourglass or athletic fit. If you are pear shaped, it will depend on how much difference the shoulders and the hips are, the greater the difference, the less likely, as you need to size up to hips but the shoulders/arms/ribs will start getting too baggy looking.

Not my favorite, but not terrible. I'm 5'11", so fit is always an issue I couldn't decide if it was better with or without the belt, so I ended up wearing something different.

I wish the dress was a little more fitting in the waist, but otherwise a comfortable, light dress.

Basic gray shift dress that is a perfect background to dress up or as is. Accessories made this dress pop. The cold shoulder sleeves and flared hem gave it a nice flirty look. The fit was perfect for my 5'2", 120 lb frame.

i'm typically a 4 in derek lam, this dress fit great w a comfortable amount of room. since i'm short it hit below my knee, but i put on high heels and it was fine. i wore a razorback bra and no lines were visible. material is very comfortable and not too warm. great for work and then drinks after. highly recommend!

This is a nice dress for work but it does run a bit loose. Also since it was loose the back of the dress (where the zipper is) kind of jutted out because it didn't fit to my body properly. I know some other customers have paired the dress with a belt (I regret not doing that as well) which I assume would eliminate that problem. But it is a very comfortable and professional looking dress I would definitely recommend it for wearing to work but not a formal event because the material is kind of a stretchy jersey.

I am usually a 2 or a 4 in dresses but I think this one runs large. I got a 40 and it looked nice but honestly I could have worn a 38. Great sleeve detail, got lots of compliments!

The fit is normal in size but the cut is a drop waist so does not emphasize figure in the least, very baggy in the middle. Fine for work but wouldn't wear anywhere else, unlikely to rent again.

This was loose enough at the waist with enough stretch to be very comfortable for a mid-2nd trimester baby bump (without feeling like I was stretching it out or struggling with the zipper and without sizing up). It was perfect to pair with a blazer for a client meeting, though I felt comfortable in it with the shoulders exposed at my law firm. My only compliant is that the zipper material runs really far down the back, so it stuck out funny on my bum in a not very flattering way.

I ended up wearing it out to dinner -- not bad, accurate fit, but just nothing special. I think it needs some "pop," and my husband thought the cold shoulder sleeves looked funny. Not my favorite. I didn't even take a photo.

Loved the 'look' style. Which that it had been a bit more fitted through the middle but it was comfortable and if you like a bit of that flowing romantic look more than super tailored this might work for you. If I rent again I might try a small instead. Normally I get mediums because of my chest size but I think the stretch in the fabric would forgive them and still let me have a little better fit in the waist.

This is a lovely knit dress, and really well cut, but I can't understand how previous reviewers said it would work for any body type. Though the knit is thick it is still clingy, and I had a hard time stopping the top of my tights from showing and making a little bulge. If you are self-conscious about that sort of thing, this is not the dress for you. Otherwise though it is elegant and hangs super well. It was really fun for dancing in. It has stretch and fit really well on the hips and shoulders.

I really liked this dress, but it was a little big on me even though I got the smallest size (I usually wear a 2 or a 4). Otherwise it was a comfortable dress, and even though it is a little loose, it was still flattering.

I wanted to loooove this dress and I did think it was pretty and feminine; however, it wasn't as fitted in places I thought it should have been and maybe I received an overworn dress but it seemed a touch baggy in unnecessary places.

Very comfortable, ran a little large- I'm typically a 6- thin and airy in hot weather- flattering lines and quality material.
