Loved the sequins aspect of these shorts as a way to dress it up a notch, but the fit was weird as others said. I'd say it was true to size (I'm a size 6 with just a bit of mommy pooch) but with a little space in the waist. The hips and thighs were slimmer and longer than typical shorts, but they weren't too tight for my more athletic quads and booty. They weren't the most comfortable while seated, but if you're going to be standing most of the night it'll do. From the side view, it doesn't do anything to highlight the booty.

These were large in the waist, though not loose enough in the legs that sizing down would like improve things much. The sequin is fun, and I did like them as part of this particular ensemble as a fun alternative to a skirt in summer for a trendy dinner. That said, I pretty much hated the shorts with the blazer off - made my waist look bigger, and the proportions weren't flattering even on longer legs.

Did not wear

I rented these to wear with a white crop top, summer going-out fun. I'm between sizes, so ordered up, and they turned out to be too big. That being said, these are quality, heavy true denim, deep color. The sequins are in a swath across the hips at a great and flattering angle. Worth trying again in the right size. If you're looking for a cocktail-event option, though, these are straight denim, so they won't be dressy enough.

Paired with a tight black tank and sneakers for a trip to Top Golf. The shorts are really cute, but they fit a little weird - they are a bit high in the waist and I found that they gapped pretty badly in the back. They were also slightly tight around the hips. Overall, super fun to wear, but they were a one and done rental.

The waist fit perfectly but the butt and thigh area were too large.

I got the suggested 44" for me and I'm a usual size 8. They were too big in the waist. I probably have a slightly bigger butt than some but these were unwearable for me because of the sag in the top.

This had a weird fit for me. The legs seemed to fit, but the waist was too big.

They fit ok but the style was not for me. They looked way cuter online. My husband said they made me look like I was going out to play bingo or something.
