I am in the middle of chemo for cancer and recovering from surgery… I could not go shop to shop… I found Renttherunway.com and just knew this was the dress. I did have back-ups I rented because I did not know what my size would end up being once my sons wedding would finally come. In the back of my mind I knew this was the dress and just hoped it would work out and fit right… and it did! I loved it and got many complements from it. Very easy to wear and I loved the fabric. I danced with my son and it will always be a very memorable moment in my life….. dancing with my son and in that beautiful dress.

I wore this to a Miami wedding. It was a great color, very vibrant. It was true to size, but the material has no give. It was slightly restrictive walking up stairs due to the form fit all the way down. Overall a very pretty dress.

This dress was amazing. While it seems very simple, that's part of it's charm. It fit right to my waist and hips, and somehow made my short 5'4" figure look super long and lean. I got a ton of compliments, especially on the color. It looks a bit more orange than red in person. One difficulty was the shoulder fit - I had to continually adjust the shoulder straps during the night to ensure they were in the right place. And careful reaching out to hug someone! The shoulders can be a bit restrictive on certain angles!

Fit like a glove. I was told multiple times that I need to wear this dress over and over again (which makes me want to purchase it). The 4L fit really well too, definitely more snug, but the 6L gave me a little more room to dance. Length was perfection with 6inch wedges.

I was unsure about this right when I tried it on, but am SO glad I wore it. There isn't any stretch in the fabric, but if it fits, then it's perfect! Fits true to size and is comfortable. Everyone loved it! I had multiple random people approach me to say that this dress was the best one of the night.

The color of this dress is amazing - I got so many compliments on it and felt great. The neckline is stunning. Size-wise, the 6 fit me perfectly in the hips and legs (I'm narrow on the bottom), but I have a large rib cage, so it wouldn't zip up (there's no stretch). The 8 fit perfectly in the rib cage and was a bit big in the hips, but it wasn't too noticeable. i'd just be cautious with this dress if you have a large bust or rib cage!

I would consider maybe sizing up. The size long worked for me because I would have worn it with very high heels that made it good length. Didn't end up wearing this dress because it was a little thick and hot for Florida wedding, opted for something more breezy. Very unique dress would have photographed well!

I ordered this dress in a 2L and 4L. I'm usually in between sizes, but the 4L fit like a glove! I loved the material (it is a more heavier weight Linen like material) and it was perfect for a Spring NYC after 5 wedding. I received tons of compliments on the dress and I was sad when I had to return it. It made me feel like a model! It does come in and fits close to the hips, so if you don't like that type of fit-I would not get this dress. The color is rich and fun and worked perfectly with my light brown/brown ombre hair color and caramel skin tone. I was 100% satisfied with my rental!

Overall fit was perfect. I am petite but slightly curvier on the bottom which made the dress super flattering. The only thing to keep in mind is although the material had a beautiful sheen to it, it wrinkled very easily like linen. These pictures were taken after wearing the dress in the car for 20 minutes and you can visibly see the wrinkles. Other than that, I was very pleased!

The fit was true to size. After reading other reviews, I thought I would hate the dress but I absolutely loved it! It is very slimming but I wouldn't recommend wearing it if you don't want fat sticking out in random places. Another fantastic experience at Rent the Runway!

Where do I begin.... I was SO nervous about renting my first RTR dress and was very nervous about sizing. First thing, know that this dress is linen! I received the dress and it had that werid linen smell after it was dry cleaned(It went away after febreeze and airing it out so don't worry!). This dress was a vibrant and gorgeous orange! I defintely got tons of compliments on that. Fit: I found the fit to be a little boxy. It was comfortable around my hips and thighs, and very loose around my waist. I wish the 2L was available for me to try but unfortuantely I had to stick with the 4L so it wasn't as form fitting as I was hoping. Dress is a little hard to dance in since it doesn't have any pull due to the material but I didn't let that stop me from having a good time. All in all, I am wearing this dress again to a wedding this weekend and will report back again after a second go round! I felt beautiful in the color !

I rented this dress for a Spring Gala. The color is vibrant and stands out among the crowd. I loved the detailing on the top, very feminine yet different. I am usually a size 8, but as past reviewers stated, the hip area was too small for me to fit in the 8. The 8 was tight in the hips, but fit perfectly everywhere else. I felt more comfortable in the 10, even thought it was a bit loose in the waist. I recommend sizing up unless you have a smaller lower half. All in all, a great dress and an even better evening!

I wore this to a winter wedding, I wanted something long as the event was in a space that I knew might be a little chilly, but it wasn't a very formal venue or crowd so I didn't want something too much like a true gown. This dress was perfect. It was a comfortable fabric, and very easy to dance in, though it didn't really have any stretch, which is why I ended up in the larger size (6) (combined with needing the long length which wasn't available for my dates in size 4) . The dress is definitely an orangey red rather than a true red, may people kept calling it straight up orange...so if you're set on a classically red dress, the color may not be to your liking. I was very happy with this dress and enjoyed every minute wearing it!

This was a great dress! I at first was worried that it might get wrinkled when I sat due to the cottony fabric, but it stayed crisp all night! The only complaint I would have is that I don't really have hips, I'm pretty straight all the way down, and the dress was made for someone that had more hips so I had a bit of puckering in that area. But otherwise I thought it was a great dress and color.

I wore this dress for a wedding. Perfect for any event like that. The dress is a bit tight or fitted around the hip area. It is a really nice, thick, almost linen like material which makes it prone to wrinkling, but once hung it's fine. The only problem I had with this dress was the length. Although I wore 5 inch heels, it was still 2 inches too long. I double-side tape the hem a bit to help, but I had to pick it up to walk. All in all it was a beautiful dress and I absolutely loved it!!!

The dress was beautiful and the color was perfect for my olive colored skin tone. The neckline didn't always fall correctly around my shoulders however and yes it is definitely floor length and not much of a slit, so short steps gait. The material is a little think too, I wouldn't recommend for hot summer weather... Also, after seating through the ceremony it was wrinkly, lesson learned...

The dress was a little long, but that was to be expected since I'm so short. Nothing a little fashion tape couldn't fix. The dress is great and the color is very bright. I received many compliments. It is a little difficult to walk in despite the slit in the back.

A little tight in the hips and the fabric didn't have much give. However, I was able to move comfortably and received TONS of compliments. The color was great and the neckline is really flattering. I'd definitely order again!

Loved this dress! I'm 5'8" and I ordered a 4L and a 6L. I ended up wearing the 6L. I tried on the 6 first and loved it so I didn't even try on the 4 at all. I wore 3-4 inch heels, and it still pooled a bit on the floor. If you want to wear flats or a smaller heel I'd suggest not ordering Long. But it didn't feel uncomfortably long for me, especially if you're planning on wearing heels. It was very comfortable and I got lots of compliments! The process was so easy! I'll definitely rent again!

Dress fits nicely in the bust. If you are curvy, caution- definitely size UP because it is fitted through the hips! I wore this to a summer black tie wedding, but you could probably even wear it to a not so formal event because of the fun design and color. I wore nude heel sandals with it and a gold clutch. I added some simple teal earrings to give it contrast. I also wore a gold cuff from RTR. Overall, great dress!

The dress was gorgeous and I got tons of compliments. The color is stunning and a lot more orange than it looks which no one would have (and no one did). Driving from location to location if got a little wrinkly but not too bad as seen in the picture. I'm 5'8" and I wore four inch heels and the length was perfect. If you're under 5'8", I would probably go with the regular length. I wear a 32DD so it was a little tight in the chest but not too bad. Dancing was a challenge at times because it is kind of restricting but for the most part it was fine. Overall I would recommend this dress especially if you want to stand out but maybe not if you love to dance as much as I do at prom.

I ordered this dress in a 2R. They didn't have it available in either of the surrounding sizes but based on the measurements provided, I thought this would fit. I'm 5'3" and this dress was about 2 inches too long even with 4 inch heels. It was also a bit too wide, could have gone with the zero. I loved the dress otherwise:) The material is great as well as the color. It would have been perfect if it fit.

This dress is certainly pretty, but the cut and fit just did not work for me. I selected the dress because it looked like a "straight and narrow" shape, which usually works well for my body type (I store all my weight in the tummy and chest, with narrow hips and zero booty). When this dress arrived, however, it was very generous through the butt and thighs and very tight in the tummy (though the 4R accommodated my large chest fine.) I also found the dress to be rather long compared to other size 4R maxis and gowns I've rented from RTR. This could look great on someone who is put together differently (someone with a waist!) but sadly I didn't get to wear it. Also, the material wrinkles very easily. So, minus one star for the fit and one for the material. Great color and tasteful but unique design, though!

When the dress got here the texture surprised me. I agree with another review I saw which said the material was similar to linen. I proceeded to try it on and I didn’t realize that I hadn’t pulled the zipper down all the way so I couldn’t get the dress on. So when trying this on, please be aware that the zipper sips down all the way even though it doesn’t look like it does. Next, the top fitted well, but if you have a curvier shape, it was VERY tight in the butt area. This created a lot of bunching in the middle area and I had to constantly pull it down every time I stopped walking. This is why I put down that it runs small (if you're curvy) I am 5’10” and the length of the dress was perfect if you’re wearing flats (12 regular). If you’re curvy and plan on wearing this dress to a prom or somewhere where you have to move around a lot, I would not recommend this dress because it’s tight and bunches up a lot. If you are not curvy and have more of a petite/straight and narrow body type go for it! I did get a lot of compliments on the dress but it was very uncomfortable to move around in and I really hated how I had to keep pulling it down for pictures. Overall I would give this dress a 2.5 out of 5.

Fit true to size. Slightly tight in the hip area if you have wider hips. I'm just under 5'3" and the R length worked with heals.

I wore this for a summer wedding in the Pacific Northwest. Because I was involved in the wedding ceremony I wanted something modest and this was perfect. I wore it with flat sandals to dress it down a bit and because the reception was on grass. A great color! Definitely size to your hips! I usually wear a 4 in hips and got the size 6 because that's all that was available and was so glad. I couldn't have fit into smaller. The bust was quite big though, so this is definitely better for an hourglass figure. I was able to adjust the bodice though with mitten clips and it was wearable. It was more formal than linen, because the silk gives it a sheen. Wore it with the celestial bracelet and it was a great combo :) There were definitely signs of wear on the detained at the top and at the hem (I wouldn't buy it in the condition it was in) although no one else would notice. Had to get it pressed at the dry cleaners. As other say, the slit in the back should be higher and difficult to dance/walk in.

The neckline and color of this dress make it a knockout. Unfortunately, the 8L was not available when I ordered this dress, so I chose the 6 and the 6L. At 5'9", I definitely needed the long. The dress is fitted through the middle, and be cautioned that there is little to no stretch. It was not the easiest to move in, but looked beautiful for the wedding. Also, it wrinkles easily when sitting, as it is a linen material.

I typically wear a size 6. The fabric is unforgiving so I opted for the 8. It was beautiful. With 4 inch heels the long was perfect

i rented this for my husband's brother's wedding (somewhat formal) and the dress was PERFECT for the occasion. the fabric is like a silk-linen which makes it very summery, but still formal. based on reviews i thought i needed to size down to a 4L, but luckily only the 6L was available b/c i never would have fit in the smaller size. the only downside with this dress was that the high-waist seam around my rib cage got progressively tighter the more i ate and drank which started to get pretty uncomfortable as the night went on, but that's also probably what made this dress so flattering to begin with. Fit like a glove, i'm pretty narrow thru hips/athletic, so if you are my size with curves i would size up as it did pull around my hips a bit. all-in-all now trying to figure out where i can buy the darn thing!

The fit is as described. Smaller on the inside. The 12 was snug so I didn't bother with the 10. I still would have been unable to wear heels at my height. Still a pretty dress but it didn't work for me.

Tried this dress in before renting. Size 2 fit perfectly. Color is a gorgeous cherry red perfect for summer. Unfortunately the size 2 was damaged so I only received the 4 which was too big in the waist and hips...fit well in the bust(32D). RTR did send me other options so all worked out. Would rent it again in size 2.

This was my first RTR dress/experience. It was such a easy and stress free process. I got the dress the day prior and went with the size 2, they sent me a size 4 as back up. My only concern was the length, I rented it regular and it was just barley touching the floor with me wearing 2.5' heels. My only small complain was the shoulder area, I had to constantly keep the shoulder design in place. But overall beautiful dress, I got a lot of compliments.

Definitely order a size up if you are big chested. I normally wear a 6 and i am a 34 d and i couldnt even zipper this with a bra on and without a bra on I looked stuffed. I wish I would have seen a similar review to help me because I rented this for May and its a very busy season leaving me with not many other options. Thankfully Rent the Runway customer service is amazing! Good luck!

This fit is tight at the bust while very loose and shapeless from the bust down. The material was like a linen-ish silk so it was wrinkled as well. It was an oddly constructed gown

I ordered this dress as a backup for a wedding. While the length makes it seem formal in the pictures online, it actually has a very casual look to it in person because it's linen (which I didn't realize when I ordered it). The fit is also very boxy, so I recommend going a size down from your normal size. Ultimately, I think this dress would be cuter in a shorter length for a more causal daytime affair. I didn't end up wearing it.

I rented this dress and one other dress for my formal event and had a really hard time choosing! The fabric is super lightweight and I felt like it fit me perfectly. The color and the detail around the neckline make this dress unique. Can't go wrong with this one!

I am 5'6" and the dress required a 3" heel. fit was flattering but defintely cut for smaller hips
