The fabric is really light weight and pretty stretchy. It has a pretty modest neckline too which was really nice for a wedding. I am 5'4" and the length was good for me but one of the other bridesmaids (who is a few inches taller than me) needed to safety pin the back shut because it was a bit too high). We had four women in the bridal party who wore this (a size 4, two size 6s and my size 8) and it was great for all of us. Its a bit darker in person than it is in the model picture. The arm holes are a bit small but I didnt find that the sequins rubbed too much. It was a fun and comfortable dress to dance in.

I wore the dress for my bachelorette party and I felt amazing in it! The sparkles are beautiful. The material is quite stretchy so I could do all of the dancing I wanted (which was a LOT). It's very flattering even though it's form fitting. I could not recommend this dress enough! I would wear it again and again if I could. A+

Normally I wear a size 10, but being as I'm 50 lbs down (you can follow me on FB.com/JosieQuitsCake), I decided to shoot for a size 8 - sure enough, it fit and felt FANTASTIC! This was my second order from RTR (I wasn't too impressed with the first one), I was soo nervous about how it would be, and if the material would snag or not. Being as it's sequins, it did snag every now and then, but the material is STRONG, and nothing happened to it. I didn't even have to wear Spanx, and got a million compliments that night! Ordering this dress again for a photo shoot because I love it THAT much. <3

It's stretchy and very flattering

I am usually a 4 or 6 in dresses. I chose the size 4 because I am 5'3" and the size 6 was looser and bunched up on me. If you are shorter in your torso or from your shoulders to chest (like me and my specs are wrong I am a 34 DD and still had to go with a 4) you may have to go with your smaller dress size so make sure to order a backup size when you order this dress. Other than that it was perfect for the occasion I wore it too and absolutely gorgeous!!

I LOVED this dress!! Totally going to rent it again for the right occasion. It was so comfortable and fit perfectly.

I rented this dress as my back-up dress for my wedding reception. I wanted to have something on hand, in case I got tired of wearing my gown and all the undergarments. When I received this dress from RTR, I knew I had to have a wardrobe change! I loved it! I was true to size, and comfy, with just the right amount of stretch. I received so many compliments, and it was just the right sparkly addition to the end of our wedding reception.

There's stretch and give with the dress, though you'll want Spanx to smooth things out. Love that you can wear a normal bra. The 8 fit fine...but the 10 allowed for breathing and dancing room. A small piece of double stick tape kept on the cleavage to keep my Spanx's from showing. Paired with the suggested Nicole Miller Teardrop Pearl Earrings and they looked gorgeous together.

No complaints here. It fit great and it was soooo comfortable! #lasvegas

This was the dress I chose for my bachelorette party. It was my first rental and I was so happy with this dress. RTR did not have my usual dress size so I couldn't get a backup but this dress fit me perfectly in the size below (I'm in between sizes now). It was form fitting, not too low in the front, and fit like a glove, showing all curves. The dress is long enough (just above knee for me - I'm 5'2")..the only caution I have is for the slit in the back. If you bend over too much, things can be revealed. But it ended up being fine! I got TONS of compliments and I sparkled all night long while at dinner and dancing with my girls! I wish I owned this dress!!!

This was a great dress. A little bit tighter fighting, low cut, and flashy than what I normally go for, but it was a lot of fun to wear, and definitely not too over the top! I received many compliments throughout the night. This dress will hug your body right. It's very beautiful. I ended up going with the smaller of the two sizes (I ordered a size 8 too) because the fit looked better tight than a bit loose. By tight, I mean fitted, the fabric has a lot of stretch to it. there is a slit in the back to be mindful of. Overall, I highly recommend!

Overall the fit is on the larger size. I have very wide hips and a smaller waist. The fabric has a good amount of stretch in it and if I had ordered the 10 I am sure it would have fit but the length would have been too short. The 12 fit perfectly, hugged my waist (because of the stretch) and layed perfectly all night. I was concerned about the length in the back but it was not an issue at all. Insanely flattering and fun. The quality was spot on and it was an incredible first rental. I will be back for more!

This dress fit perfectly and was so comfortable! It's really stretchy and light-perfect for a summer wedding or party. I got so many compliments! I am usually a 6 so I ordered the 6 and an 8 and the 6 was perfect.

I loved the way I felt in this dress! It definitely had a lot of WOW factor! That being said, one size down probably would have been perfect. The sides & mid-section of the 6 were a little big on me, but I don't think it was terribly noticeable. I am generally a size 6, but if I were to rent this again I would go with the 4.

This is a beautiful, comfortable, awesome dress. Sparkly and classy. Got many compliments on it, definitely makes you stand out in a crowd. Only con is that it will show any tummy pooch or love handles - spanx are necessary, especially if you plan to eat! The 2 was unavailable, but the 4 fit great.

The fit was great. I'm usually an 8, but the 10 was longer so I ended up wearing the 10. There's a slit in the back which you can't see on the model in the picture. I'm 6'2 so I was worried about the length but it was perfect! I wore it to prom and it was super comfortable. I just wore a normal bar, which was a plus. Awesome dress over all!!'l

I rented this for a20's Gatsby themed Gala. This dress is a beautiful color and I received complements all night. I only ordered an 8 after reading the reviews and it was perfect. I probably could have ordered one size up for a looser, more 20's style look but it was easy to dress up with accessories. The quality is great and it has a nice stretch so it was comfortable.

Dress was comfy. I wore the smaller of the two sizes. Regular bra. A push up would have really accentuated my bust. there was plenty of room in the body. It was not too clingy. I would wear this designer again.

The fit was quite forgiving, and my post-baby body was well-represented. Being my second marriage, I wanted something fun and flirty for the reception This was perfect!

I ordered the 12 and the 14 and both fit but the 14 was a little longer so I wore that instead. It was wonderful to wear.

I got this in both the 6 and 8 and both fit. As it was a wedding I went with the 8 which hung just a little looser around the midsection and hips. 6 would have been fine too, but felt just a little more sexy than I was looking for at a formal wedding. The other RTR dress I rented I wore in a 6. Depending on designers I am usually a 6, but sometimes 8. I'd recommend two sizes to see which one is most appropriate for the occasion. Wore regular bra and spanx, but had to have spanx leg parts hiked up very high to not show in back (where there is a slit). Would love to own this dress - I could see wearing it across a range of occasions.

Cannot say enough about how great this dress is. So flattering, so comfortable, perfect for a special occasion. I wore this for my law school formal (with nude pumps and a white and gold bag) and got so many compliments on it. The dress can ride up a bit in the back if you're not careful, and there is a slit, but it's not a big issue. One of the best parts of this dress for the bigger-chested girls is that you can wear a normal bra with it--love that. I wore Spanx underneath also, and had no problems with that. In all, I am so happy I chose to use RTR for this occasion and could not be happier with the dress!

This dress is stunning. The color and sequins are gorgeous. The simple style is a classic. It was incredibly comfortable, but very clingy and stretchy. I never guessed that from the original model photo. The upside is that there are so many sequins, if you do have any little figure flaws you want to disguise, it's not a problem. The dress hit me right above the knee with a fairly obvious slit in the back-spanx have to pulled up in order not to show.. I was happy that I could find a sequin dress that was a classic, not too flashy but a show stopper. I had a million compliments and was thrilled with this dress.

This dress is truly beautiful and flattering. I wore it for my brother in law's wedding and received so many compliments from our family and friends all night. The color is glamorous and eye catching without being gaudy.

This isn't the dress for a shy girl - you will be noticed and complimented all night! I wore this for my birthday night party (read: club) and it was a big hit. The lining makes the dress very comfortable to wear (and protects your tights!), and the sequins under the arms did not bother me at all. It does have a little give, which is perfect after a few cocktails and dinner. I wore this dress with nude hosiery and nude pumps, which definitely ramped up the sexy factor. It could also be toned down a little with darker or opaque tights and black heels. I accessorized with purple and gold statement earrings and a matching necklace. If you are considering this dress - GO FOR IT!

This dress was so beautiful in person. The color and sequins are gorgeous. The simple A-line style was very flattering. It was very comfortable and I could wear a normal bra. The dress hit me right above the knee with a tiny slit in the back. I was happy that I could find a sequin dress that was also age appropriate (50), not to revealing and not to short, but still sexy. This is a winner.

Worn to a "vintage mystery" themed corporate holiday party. It did run a bit larger than I expected - I'm pretty petite, so I had to wear a padded bra to make it look like I had something going on in that area. The dress seemed a bit loose, but it's not supposed to be extremely tight, so it still worked out. I felt gorgeous; this dress is really stunning in person and looks elegant in photos. I was stopped by strangers all night asking where the dress was from, and when I told them I rented it, they didn't believe me!

I rented the 4 and the 6. I was sure I was going to wear the 4, but when I walked around in it at home I noticed the under arm area was slightly constricting. I sized up to the 6 and felt a lot better. All night I recieved many compliments on the dress. I was happy to have chosen this dress, not only because it looked great but it was so comfortable.

Didn't want to wear black again this year to the VCU Athletics Dept. Black & Gold Ball (that's the ESPY that the VCU Rams won for the 2010-2011 basketball season) so rented this one. Truly one of the most comfortable dresses I have ever worn. I'm glad I read the previous reviews about ordering the extra one a size smaller b/c even though I've put on a few pounds over the summer and would normally have ordered a 6 and then 8 to cover the pounds, I ordered a 4 and that one fit perfectly. Women came up all night long commenting on how beautiful the dress was and one finally asked me where I got it (this was her 3rd time coming up to me). Now that I see the pictures I can see how it really looked and it was fabulous! Wore black heels with it for most of the night but had my cowboy boots on standby when my feet started hurting.... they looked pretty hot with it, too. You cannot go wrong renting this dress. It stands out in the crowd b/c most people wear black.

Hung perfectly on my hourglass figure and because it was sequins, I didn't have to worry about bulges showing. The slit is high in the back, which look awesome, and I just wore my Spanx up a bitter higher than normal and they never showed. I also got to wear a normal bra, which was a pleasant surprise, as this heavy sequins from sitting/bunching on top of a strapless. My bra strap did not show one time, and I didn't even pin them. I spoke on stage in front of 600 people, and I am SO GLAD I wore this dress. It was classy, just a peek of feminine bustline without worrying about showing cleavage, and it came almost to the knee, which was a very elongating, flattering cut. I LOVED IT, as did my husband. I kept getting this compliment: "You look like a movie star!" (Even from my 4 year old son.) Only wear it if you enjoy attention :)

I wore this dress for a rehearsal dinner and it was perfect. I received compliments all night and felt like a million bucks wearing it. I normally wear a 6 in dresses but ordered and 8 in this one just in case, but ended up wearing the 6. It was perfect and wish I actually owned it!

This dress was amazing! It fit perfectly, conforms to your shape, and is really flattering. Great for those who are larger on top. It's true to size, maybe runs a little large so I would go a size down for the second dress.

This was actually my backup dress for a black tie New Year's party, but I loved it so much I changed into it for the after-party. Thank you RTR for sending me two stunning dresses! It fit perfectly and was much more flattering than I imagined it would be. The color is gorgeous - much richer in person than in photos - and it looked great with my skin even though nudes and golds usually wash me out. I wore it with really high nude platform pumps, and I got loads of compliments. The dress it so comfortable and well-fitting that I danced all night in it without ever having to adjust or feeling uncomfortable. This is a dress I would definitely rent again - if I don't end up buying it first!
