This felt true to size for me; not too loose or too tight even with the layers.

Really loved this dress for a day trip with friends. I rented the 8 based off reviews and it fit fine but was a bit boxy. If I rented again I would definitely rent the 6.

If you work that corporate 9-5, rent this for the fall season. Paired with a cute turtle neck, will give it a super chic but cute look. Super high quality material

I loved this dress as a jumper dress. Didn't look good with a white shirt but better with a mustard / gold tone turtleneck. Received many compliments.

Great quality/thick material and conservative for work but runs very big. I am a Small or 2 in most things to be on the safe side and I ordered this in a 0 and it's very big.

As for my trip to London this past weekend I wore it with a turtleneck underneath the in the cold weather and I loved it I was tempted to keep it however I am between sizes and it was a little snug and pulled slightly towards the bottom hem but not sure if it's because I needed a size up but if I went to size up then the top would've been huge

Thank goodness that I read the reviews beforehand, because I ordered a size smaller than my normal size and this dress was still a little big. It's a very thick fabric and feels like a winter dress, except that it is sleeveless. I paired it with nylons and black & gold booties and it worked well. I would recommend this dress, but just make sure you size down. For reference, I'm normally a 12 and I'm wearing a 10.

This dress has heft — nice, substantial cloth. The buttons are a nice touch. However, even though it zips up, it’s too tight around my hips to sit down.

I haven't worn a lot of Tory Birch dresses so I don't know if the brand usually runs big or if this dress is an exception. I originally ordered in a 4, but I sent it back for a 2. I wanted to be able to wear it without a shirt underneath. Even in the 2, the armholes were a bit big for that. May have looked better with a light turtleneck than the black sweater I ended up wearing it with. Having to match an outfit seems to defeat the purpose of wearing a dress in the first place. The buttons are the star of the show. As one of my straight male colleagues said "every Rent The Runway dress has one feature that makes it really standout." Not sure it's always true, but certainly true for this dress.

Great length for work, with adorable details, like seams that break up an otherwise simple silhouette. It does run a bit big, but that would allow one to wear a more substantial shirt underneath in cooler months.

This runs large, but pretty TTS for the brand. I usually take a 00 in this brand, although I'm generally a 2 (sometimes a 0). The 0 was boxy and a little big, but not unflattering. This isn't a style that does a lot for my pear-shaped figure, but I really enjoyed wearing it and didn't find it tight in the hips. Paired this with a crisp white button down and booties for an easy and comfortable work look, but you could definitely do something more playful for everyday. The buttons add some interest and make this a fun piece. I would recommend, but you may want to size down.

Wore this a few times over a gray bell sleeve turtleneck. It is comfortable and appropriate! Was a little surprised how heavy the dress is. It is a thick material and the side buttons don't help

The quality is great--nice, thick, lined jumper. I was so excited to wear this, but it comes past my knees. Even with high heels, it cuts me off in an unflattering way. If I owned it I would take the straps up about three inches and it would be my favorite dress ever. Instead, I'm sending it back.

The quality of this piece is nice, with thick fabric and substantial hardware, but the fit didn't flatter me. I have a fuller bust and hips and the dress clung to them while the waist floated and bunched. Sizing up would have overwhelmed my frame; I think this one is better suited for straight up and down figures.

Cute dress. The fabric is thick, so relatively forgiving. I wore with a long sleeve t-shirt and tights/boots. Its a cute winter outfit! I would not wear in summer due to how thick it is.

Wore this to work w a white button-up underneath and red suede pumps. I'm a 10/12 and had originally ordered the 10 but had to send it back for the 12. This is tighter in the hip/ butt area than I usually expect. It was very comfortable and I got tons of compliments. (Though I did set off every metal detector I went thru that day ..) Will definitely rent again.

Wore this in Florida to a dinner with family - it's cute with the buttons down the side but also pretty traditional with a higher neckline and nice length above the knee. It's a thicker material, so it was nice in a room with too much AC, but might be a little thick for a hot day.

Run large. I went a size down after reading reviews. Looks elegant. Can be dressed up or down.

It's a very nice quality dress. Got a ton of compliments on the gold buttons on the sides. I layered this with a black turtleneck and tights with below the knee black boots. I ordered a size down from what I normally wear so you may want to consider this too (I don't have much chest to fill up however). The arm holes are a little small/tight so by the end of the day, the front of my armpit area felt a bit sore.

Most of the reviews said it was tight at the hips, so I ordered a size up - but ended up wishing I had stuck to my true size (4).
