After dealing with some serious weight gain, it has been incredibly challenging to find something that was flattering. I got SOOO many compliments on this gown. I tried on at least 30 dresses at malls and big stores, and always left empty handed and disappointed on the quality. 
This was a dream!!! Felt risky since it was my first time renting, but this was the easiest and most satisfying $70 ive ever spent. Highly recommend 😊

At first, I thought this wouldn’t even zip due to the construction and how tight it is in the chest. Definitely cannot wear a bra with this one. I ended up having to zip it in front with my chest out of it, and then spin it around and pull it up over my chest. It was very tight in the chest for my normal size. However, I have a feeling that may have been necessary due to some reviews saying that it was loose on their chest and kept slipping down. I wish one size up had been available to at least try it. I did have to pull down the waist area especially after sitting, as it tends to bunch up a little bit creating a slight bubbled effect, but it wasn’t annoying enough to detract from the beauty of the gown. 

I did end up wearing it, as all my other larger options were uncomfortably too big, and I’m so so glad that I went with this one. This dress got a ton of compliments (and I only knew three other people at this engagement party that I wore it to). I think it hid my mom-belly area nicely, and it was a relatively conservative option, since a lot of gowns are backless, extremely low cut, etc. The length hit just under my ankle, which was nice since I was able to wear it in the rain without worrying about it dragging. It was very lightweight and flowy and to be honest, I didn’t want to take it off. I felt like I could live in this dress. 

I wore a black mesh sleeve over it, attempting to hide how tight the top was, and paired it with black sandals and a green bag, but I also think Gold would have looked beautiful for accessories. I would definitely rent this again.

This dress was the perfect combo of flowing and earthiness. It fit great, and got a lot of compliments! 

I loved the color, the pleats, the sheen. It was very comfortable and danced well. Plus, the photographer pulled me aside during cocktail hour for “guest fashion feature” so it must’ve looked ok!

This was my first time renting from RTR so I was nervous about the dress fitting and had many backup plans in place. At the suggestion of a friend, I went to the designer website to get a better idea of their specific sizing, which I think helped me settle on the size to rent. I have a hard time finding dresses that fit, so I hardly wear dresses and opt for separates instead. On top of that, my body is changing and I am never sure what size will fit on any given day. But this dress was pretty perfect, almost like it was made for me - in both the bodice and length. I did use tape to make sure the dress didn't slide too far down (wasn't *that* kind of an event!), and I added a thin black belt I had. Renting and returning was so easy. I'll definitely consider renting again!

A little tight around the ribcage but an overall perfect dress. Beautiful color, great quality, and the length fell just right. 

This dress was everything I could have hoped for for a fall semi-formal wedding. I paired it with a red lip, fun gold earrings and nude heels. It was beautiful, so well done, color is gorgeous and fit me well. Best of all, I could dance the night away, twirling my skirt and getting low. I also could eat without any tightness in the lower tummy area. For reference, I am 5'7" and around 138 lbs, and wear an A cup size. I wore adhesive nipple covers, but honestly didn't need them. First time renting and would absolutely rent again.

It was the perfect dress for my brother-in-law's beach/jungle wedding in Santa Marta, Colombia. I loved it, felt beautiful, and got so many compliments :) 

This dress was perfect for a wedding I was attending. It fit perfectly and did not feel like it was slipping off the entire time. It was a beautiful dress and I got a lot of compliments. I am 5'3" and it hit right at my ankles. It would drag on the ground when sitting or when walking up stairs so I had to be careful about that. 

I'm obsessed with this dress. It fit so well and was so much fun for dancing at a wedding. I got so many compliments and it was super comfortable. I usually wear a size 4, but I have a small chest and the 2 fit perfectly without a bra. It was also easy to travel with because it didn't wrinkle. Highly recommend! 

I am 5ft 7in and around 145 with broad shoulders/rib cage and the 8 fit perfectly. both zippers on both sizes were a bit sticky so I had to have help zipping up but once the 8 was on I was in and it felt comfortable. I rarely pulled up the top since I had a decent strapless that also gave me just enough cleavage to feel sexy but not TOO sexy. this was the perfect dress for a black tie/formal wedding. 

The pleats hide how much fabric there is to the dress. It moves beautifully in a breeze or when dancing. Very light and airy fabric that is silky and does not wrinkle from sitting. The size 4 did not zip up at my ribcage/bust despite being a 34b, the back up size 6 did fit. 

Definitely tight in the rib cage. But so beautiful. 

I love this dress! The material falls perfectly, the color is beautiful. It is a tad bit larger than a normal 4, but still fit fine. Perfect dress to win my first emmy in! 

I usually wear an 8 but ended up wearing the 10 bc it fit tighter on my ribs/chest! But it stays up by itself and is so flattering! 

Perfect length and fit, it was light but elegant. A great find!

I wore this for my engagement photos. I generally wear a Size 4, but sized up to a 6 and it fit perfectly! Would rent again. 

I wore this as a bridesmaid for an October wedding and I loved it - the color and texture were perfect for the season, and the way the dress moves is just gorgeous. I’m usually a 6, but I wore the 4; even though it was a little snug, it meant it was a VERY secure strapless dress.

I reserved this dress for a wedding and it was TOO SMALL. I was freaking out but at the end, it fit!!

Loved this dress! It was slimming and flowing, perfect color for fall/winter. The bodice was tight fitting with boning, so not need for a bra. 

Loved this dress, it fit as expected on top (size 4, 30A bust) and stayed up no problem. Able to breathe and dance! The length was right at my ankles.

loved this gorgeous green dress for my friends wedding in Newport in the fall! Got a lot of compliments! giving it 4 stars though bc i did feel like i had to keep pulling it up all night but that always happens to me with strapless dresses

Was perfect for a Black Tie Optional wedding and received so many compliments! The top half of the dress was pretty roomy and one more size down would have been perfect!

This dress didn’t disappoint.  I got so many compliments on it and I felt great. It was a tad tight in the rib cage so size up for the second dress just in case. I did love it!!!!  

This is the second dress I've rented from Amur and the second time I wish i'd just bought it! It looks fantastic on. I almost wore the 8 because I have a large bust, and I'm glad I went with the 6. It was a little loose in the midsection and, although the 6 was tight at first, it does settle onto your body. Had I worn the 8, I think I would've been pulling it up all night. Both this dress and the other (red with cut-outs) spin exquisitely if you're the dancing kind.

I received SO many compliments on this dress—I felt like a princess, it was so beautiful! My only quip was the fact that the zipper was so hard to pull up—mainly because the fabric material bunched together around it. I usually wear a 12 but I wore the 14 and that fit just right. Isn’t boobs looked amazing so that was another bonus! 

So if you’re in the fence, this is your sign to get the dress! Just be aware of the zipper!

I wore this to a black tie wedding and got so many compliments, the green really stood out. Wore with 3 inch heels and the length was perfect as I’m on the shorter side. Would definitely rent again! 

I think it runs a bit small.. especially in the chest. So  be sure to consider that. Otherwise it’s just as beautiful as the pictures. Got so many compliments!

I don’t have much up top after 2 kids but if I did I would’ve been in trouble. The under boob part would bunch up and stick out and I was constantly adjusting. Not horrible, I expected this with a strapless. I felt it was slightly too long. I am 5’8” and it was falling well past tea length on me 

I fell in love with this dress online and really thought this would be the dress I’d wear to a wedding I was attending. However, I couldn’t get over the dropped waist (for lack of a better term). Overall, this is what stopped me from  wearing this dress to the event.

Waist is a bit big, but the color and feel of the fabric are so luxe I don’t even care 

Typical to strapless dresses, this slipped a lot. I was between the 4 and 6 and decided to go with the 6, should have maybe done 4? There is a weird little poofing at the waist, saw others taped it down, but I just ignored it. Otherwise, the color is STUNNING and the dress itself is gorgeous. Tones of compliments just limited how much dancing was done

I rented this for an outdoor wedding and received so many compliments! I’m a 2 on top/4 on bottom and the 2 fit perfectly. My one gripe, as other reviewers have mentioned, is that the midsection below the bust puckers out a bit.

Great for a wedding - slips a little bit at the top but has a plastic-y strip to prevent full slippage

Very comfortable, stayed on as I danced, so many compliments. 4 stars only because it was hot and my sweat became a little visible on the fabric 

I usually wear a 2/4 but ordered both a 4 and 6 after reading reviews that it ran small. I didn’t find that it ran small, I wore the 4, and it was a little loose with some puckering in the midsection (easily fixed with fashion tape). The length was perfect, hitting right at the ankle. For reference, I’m 5’8”, 150 lbs, athletic build.

I normally wear a 10 and had a size up. I will say the boning in this dress was all warped. You can see in one picture how it popped out on the side.  I was probably the only one who noticed but it was annoying. I did get a lot of compliments on it, but I was not super confident. 

The color and fabric was beautiful. I wanted to love this but the other reviewers were right. The way they made the mid section it just doesn’t lay right. I don’t have extra skin/fat in my torso/stomach but it made me look like I had love handles or a pooch. Found a big belt to wear over but the fabric kept sliding out on top and bottom. I would not recommend this. Wish that section was juts gone. It’d be perfect if that was as the way it was made. 

But didn’t wear felt more like a bridesmaid. I have a large back from sports and barely could get zipped.
