These jeans are very cute and perfect length for tennis shoes or heels, they do stretch a bit after wearing them a few times though so it's best to size down 1 size

These were the best and comfiest high waisted jeans I have tried on thus far. They do stretch after one wash - so size down if you don't want to wash often!

I have a very hard time finding anyone with my measurements. I'm 5'3" 150 lbs and a size 8 or 29. These jeans are a curvy dream. If you have a smaller waists and bigger butt and thighs: girl here are your jeans!! 

I love me some madewell jeans, and these ones did not disappoint. I was like "oh yes" as soon as I slipped them on. Snug at first (which is EXACTLY how you want your mw's because they will stretch a little over time) and structured without being uncomfortable. Gonna buy and rent any other washes of these "perfect" vintage  jeans!

I already own a pair of the perfect vintage from Madewell, same style but with some holes and wear those to death. So this pair looking slightly cleaner made sense. They have tons of stretch so they're super comfortable and retain their shape. But they don't look cheap some some jeans with stretch do. Actually now I don't know why I didn't buy these too...

I wore these so many times! Tempted to buy, but I'll just rent them again soon. The fact I fit in a 26 is hilarious because these have hardly any stretch. I'm consistently a 27 in madewell jeans if not 28. So order a size or two down!

Per other reviews, I rented a size 25 rather than my usual 26. I'm so glad I did because the 25 was a perfect fit! Nice high waist that did not dig in and the jeans have a high quality structured feel but are still comfortable to sit down and move in. Love the vintage wash and frayed hem. I am 5'6" and they hit right at my ankle. 

I wore these even though they were too big on me. Super comfy casual jeans. Not my most flattering pair, but I'd like to try them again after sizing down. 

These fit like comfy/boyfriend cut jeans when you first put them on, but they quickly stretch out and become unflattering quickly. I gained the COVID-19, and moved up to a 30, but I think even a 29 could have been too big in the waist. My hips/thighs probably couldn't fit a 28 though.
If you're an hourglass or don't skip leg day, only go down one size. If you're less hippy/thinner thighs, you can probably go down two sizes. 
Otherwise, I love these and wore them around the house anyway.

Rented these post partum until I could wear my jeans again. Good fit and length 

So cute and fit perfectly, also so comfortable and a good length (hits right at the ankle if you're short like me) 

High waist is great. I wish I could have rented in a long (I'm 5'10"), but because they are a crop fit I was able to get away with the length. I love the thickness of the material, they feel sturdy but still comfortable!

Ordered these in one size up from my normal because I gained some COVID weight and I wanted some easy jeans. These were perfect, even a little baggy, but looked great with a simple top and slides around town. 

I got these jeans because I was interested in both the brand and the style. I loved them immediately and even got compliments on them the first day I wore them out. I ended up buying the jeans new from Madewell (the exact same jeans), and ended up returning those because for some reason the RTR pair fit me better! 

Sized down (normal for me and Madewell) and was perfect - heavier denim but super flattering. I lived in these and am only returning since I'm buying directly from Madewell (cheaper to buy new with Madewell specials!). 

Perfect fit when first putting on. Did get baggy throughout the day. Probably could have worn a smaller size.

Size, length, and every inch fit just right. These jeans were made for my body. I love them and so does the hubby!

Love the high rise and fit. They stretched out super fast with one day of wearing. Also the regular length was too long for me so I cuffed them I would prefer a short inseam. 

Still getting used to a non skinny jean so these felt a little wide for me, but very comfortable fit. 

Didn't get to wear - way too long for my height. 

These jeans are very comfy and great to wear to the office or out to dinner. They were a bit large on me in the waist, so I would size down. But a great fit overall 

As a shorter woman, I'm used to cropped length pants looking like I barely shrunk my jeans. But this pair didn't look as good with a rolled hem as I had hoped. 

Jeans fit great and true to size. They did stretch out which made them a little too big to wear the second day. Overall very comfortable and flattering. 

Personally I felt they were a bit too cropped and made my legs look shorter than I would have liked. If I were to buy these I would have gotten the tall. Like the other reviews said, size down! I usually wear a 26 in madewell jeans which seem to run big and I wish I had gotten a 25. 

These were great jeans. The rise was perfect since I like a high rise. I love how the jeans were skinny-ish so that made them different from my other pairs

I rented a size smaller than I usually do and they still felt a little big. They get pretty loose quickly. Very comfortable and I love the cut though. Great if you're looking for a more relaxed jean!

Disappointed with huge gap in waist. Fit great in hips thighs and length perfect. But they felt ridiculous at the waist. If they'd have had a 24 I would have gotten it but I'm not even sure that will be that much smaller in the waist. 

I found the material offputting, very rough and thick. The fit was also not ideal - slightly baggy in the waist and uncomfortable because of the material

Cute jeans but a little boxy around the waist/hip area. They looked good with a fitted shirt and jacket, but the minute I threw a sweatshirt over it, I looked like a (graceful, elegant) potato. The denim is pretty rigid with little stretch, but it's still Madewell sizing, so size down an inch or two from your regular waist circumference.
