Fitted but not too tight. There is very little stretch as others mentioned so keep that in mind. It could have been an inch longer for me (I'm tall) but did the trick. 

Overall I loved this dress! Only small complaint is that it was slightly snug around the waist/hips and I needed to be careful when I sat down and up. Other than that, I felt comfortable wearing it without a bra and everything stayed in place. I got several compliments on it and would definitely rent it again.

 wanted one standout piece this month, and this was it — perfect for our Valentine’s dinner. The embroidery is beautiful.

Neck line appears plunging, but it has a Caucasian-nude colored panel about mid sternum. I did go without a bra because my bra had a bow in the center that showed if you looked down my cleavage. 

I love this dress. My usual size is 4 but I wore the 6 because this dress is tight in the hips. I received a lot of compliments on it. 

As others have said, the fit is a bit tight, and there’s no give to the fabric. I usually wear a 12, sometimes a 10, but needed 14 for this one. It was hard to get the neckline to lay flat. But fit was great, I felt very pretty in it and others said I was glowing!

I usually wear a size 8, but I sized up to a 10 due to my broader ribcage (I wear a 36C in bras). The dress was slightly long on me—I'm 5'2"—but wearing 5-inch heels helped. I received many compliments, with at least five people stopping me to say how stunning the dress was! 
I would definitely recommend it and would love to buy it!

I wore this to my friend’s wedding and absolutely loved it. Got so many compliments and felt like a supermodel all night. I was glad I sized up from my normal based on other’s reviews. I’m usually a 4 or 6 but ended up wearing the 8. The cut of the dress is definitely meant for girlies with a larger bust and smaller bottom half. For me, it was a very tight fit in the hips but a little roomy on top. I double padded my bra (LOL) to make it work, but I think ideally you’d wear this without a bra. That said, a nude bra was disguised reasonably well by the mesh in front and back. Overall, I’d definitely rent this again, and would especially recommend for those who fit the larger on top & smaller on bottom body type!

Gorgeous gown, very flattering and easy to wear; got tons of compliments at a holiday party! I’m usually a size 4 but chose to wear the size 2 because it fit better. 

Loved how comfortable this dress was! I went with the 10, the 8 was a little too tight in the chest and shoulders, so if you are busty consider sizing up. Got so many compliments! 

I think this dress is very flattering! I would say it runs a little small as I normally wear an 8 or 10 and had to wear this in a 12. The top was a bit large so I used body tape in the shoulder area and put a little extra padding the bust. It was very comfortable to dance in all night, and I felt great in it!

I got the 0 and 2 -- the 2 was perfect. Only tough part was zipping on the side, but thats expected as my rib cage is big for my build. The length was perfect for a reasonable heel --  2". Got lots of compliments.

Wore this to a formal wedding. At first, I had a hard time deciding on the 14 or 16; I have a hard time fitting my thighs in a snugly fitted dress. But! I was wearing them around my house, trying to figure out the Misses Kisses bra I got to go with it (worked amazingly, highly recommend it or boombas to get the bust fit perfect), and started getting warm. The dress gives a bit the warmer you get. The 14 ended up fitting the best. I used tummy flattening underwear and the Misses Kisses Bra, plus a little bit of dress tape, to make sure it didn't gape at all at the top. Received compliments all night long! Larger ladies like me - it's a beautiful dress you can be comfortable in!

I wore this dress to my brother's wedding and it was absolute perfection! Fit like a glove in my usual size, I didn't even need to try on the backup size. I'm 5'4" and did not need very high heels with this dress, I even switched over to flip flops at the end of the night and the dress was just barely touching the floor. It doesn't have any stretch, so I did have to hike it up slightly in order to sit down, but definitely did not feel trapped in it by any means and was able to eat, dance, and chase my kids around all night long with no issue at all. I did not need a bra and it held me in really nicely. I received so many compliments throughout the entire wedding and felt so elegant and beautiful in this dress! Very well made and the embroidery is just stunning in person. It was better than I could have even imagined... definitely a winner and would 100% wear this again! If you're thinking about this one, just do it, you won't regret it!

Overall it was a bit big in the chest and shoulders and I wish I had sized down. But still a stunning dress for the evening and made it work with some tape!

I loved this dress so much! If I could wear it daily- I would keep it. I wore it to my brother’s wedding. It was easy to dance in and I felt so confident.

This was an absolute showstopper of a dress. I wore it to officiate my friends’ outdoor summer garden wedding and received endless compliments from everyone all night. The details are stunning, the colors are summery and bold without being too bright, and it oozed class. Hit the perfect tone of being quite sexy yet ultra sophisticated. The fit is snug through the hips, so would recommend sizing up if you are shapely through your middle/lower half. I am usually between a 4/6 depending on the designer and cut and definitely needed the 6 in this one. The sheer sections on the front and back mean you can’t easily wear a bra, but there’s enough structure in the dress to feel supportive, even if it’s gorgeously revealing. One of my top rentals from RTR ever!

This was easy to wear and had beautiful detail in the front and back. It hugged in the right places. 

It fit like a glove. Any tighter, I may not have been able to zip, The fabric feels expensive and is even prettier in person. It was easy to sit, dance and walk steps, but climbing into my jeep was another story. 🤣

It fit so well I didn't need a bra, but a little boob tape helped.

Wore this dress to a black tie wedding. Perfect fit. Zipper was a bit wonky. 

I am a 32G and the dress held the girls perfectly all night. Didn’t have to readjust or even tape. I did have to step into the dress from the top and pull it up bc the bottom is a mermaid and wouldn’t fit over my chest.

 I would keep jewelry and hair super simple bc the dress really speaks for itself and is stunning. 

Loved this dress so much! Read all the reviews and went up a size, and thankfully so! The hips are very tight and I couldn't wear a normal bra with the dress due to the low back. The dress made me feel so radiant and I wish I could have kept it. The details were amazing and was not overly heavy. The perfect dress for a springtime wedding!

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so many compliments from perfect strangers. I’m 5’4 and the 6 was perfect length. Beware this is a bit low cut - I’m a 32F and needed to wear a bra, and while it accommodated my curves well, the bra was a little visible in the front. 

This brand always delivers the most intricate and luxurious details of any designer! Love the faux corset back detail and the intricate embroidery. Fits TTS (no give but great shape) 

I’m a 34 B on top and it was a little big about .5 inch, And at 5’2, I still needed 3” heels. From the ribcage down, it was perfect.

I rented this dress for a night at the opera because I loved the style (and I love embroidery), but was concerned about whether it would fit given the lack of stretch.  I was pleasantly surprised to find it fit perfectly, worked well without a bra, and was comfortable.  The length would have been a little short, but since my feet get mad when I wear heels these days, it was fine with flat sandals.   

Fit snug but super pretty on. Zipper was a PAIN as it kept getting stuck. 

This dress is so beautiful.  I am a standard size 2 - it fit perfectly, but it is extremely fitted with very little give.  I was selected as a finalist for Best Outfit and the Kentucky Derby - great dress for multiple seasons.

This dress is incredibly beautiful. I loved it so much. You do have to give the zipper a tug to get it zipped, but it fit PERFECT. I am petite, and the length was just right. 

Fit was very flattering and I felt like a queen the whole night. I wore a low cut bodysuit and the chest can be a little low for some. Perfect for my gala and strut the runway. The material and cut was better than anything I expected. The design is intricate and beautifully adorned. I wore very high heels for the competition, but I could have gotten away with 3". Just perfect.

Wore while performing at a gala. I'm 5'2" and I was still able to wear it with short heels without it dragging. It was a touch too big in the waist, but no way to tighten it. I still felt beautiful and received a lot of compliments. Did not need to wear a bra. The embroidery is stunning!

Loved the mermaid fit and there’s enough stretch that it wasn’t hard to walk. The first dress had a hole in one of the seams and they immediately sent out a replacement that arrived the next day. My first experience with RTR and I will definitely be doing again!

I am 5'7 140# and the 8 was 
 tight.  It's a gorgeous dress  and I got so many compliments at the outdoor Texas wedding I wore it too.

My first time trying RTR and it won't be my last. It is usually hard for me to find a dress that fits just right because I am wide across the shoulders & chest, but I read all the reviews and 8 was my recommended size for a 36C bust size and it fit just right.  It is form fitting and the fabric does not have any stretch so it was a challenge stepping up into my husbands truck with it on. But other than that, it was a special dress to wear and I received a lot of compliments on it.

Grateful for RTR’s free second dress with rental! I ordered a 6 and 8 and had to go with the 8 because there is no give in the fabric around the hips. (I ended up leaving the top hook on and not unzipping all the way, and slipping it over my head, to get it on.)

Once on, it was pretty comfortable. It was a tiny bit big on top but I used a sticky bra which helped keep it in place. Great length for me with only 1.5” heels, which is rare. Very satisfied with it for the evening.

Loved this dress for a springtime destination wedding! It was a little large just above the armpits but I used a bit of fashion tape and that fixed it. I wish I had more occasions to dress up otherwise I would buy it!

This dress was gorgeous in every way. The fit, the style. I loved it.

This dress was perfect for a formal wedding on the first day of spring. The material and the design were beautiful, especially the back. There was no stretch, but it was still very comfortable and easy to dance in. I loved not having to wear a bra. Pictures do not do it justice!

This dress has such beautiful embroidery and is very form fitting with no stretch. Based on reviews, I wanted to size up but chose not to. The top part of the dress felt a bit big because the straps were too long for me but it worked out, not too much of an issue. But I’m also 5ft tall so that’s probably why! 

I'm 5ft, 115lb, A cup and the size 0 fit perfectly. Wore sticky bra with it and 4in heels. Was able to dance and move well in it. Compliments all night long!

Probably the most beautiful piece I have ever rented. Absolutely top quality BUT way too much boobage for me. Perfect fit through my hips and waist but too tight and revealing up top - I didn’t  wear it because I was not comfortable with serious cleavage AND underboob. If I had enough time, I would buy one size up (because it is an amazing dress at RTR “buy it” price) and have it altered to fit bc I love it that much. But I didn’t have time bf my event for that. If you have a large chest go up one or two sizes.

Not enough to say about this! Fit like a glove and was so form flattering. Just the right amount of cleavage. It was so perfect for a black tie wedding. 

I loved wearing this dress. Stunning embroidery, beautiful details, gorgeous mermaid skirt, very well constructed. 
It is VERY fitted through the hips, no give at all in the material, I had to wear 2 layers of spanx to fit into it. I used bra inserts and lots of double sided tape to fill out the top. I would get an 8 if I had to wear again. 

Such a lovely gown! Very flattering. It was a bit too short for me, tight around the rib cage and hips even with sizing up. I still wore it out and received compliments ;) 

This is gorgeous. It's tight enough that you don't need a bra, but if you want one, it needs to be a low-back one for the pseudo lacing in back. It would have been better if I wore stillettos, but I had a lot of walking around the Guggenheim to do for an event in October. Wore it with a little pashmina. 

I absolutely loved how this dress looked on me. Although I selected “just right”, I will say that it was fairly tight around my hips and butt. This dress has little to no stretch, so if you’re curvy I highly recommend sizing up and reading through others reviews. Overall though I was very happy with this dress and got lots of compliments!

I’ve been eyeing this dress for months and finally decided to try it. The dress is beautiful, but as the other reviews describe it can be tight and loose in different spots. I tried a 0 and a 2, I have previously been a 0 in a marchesa notte dress. The hips were very snug in both and the shoulders/straps a bit loose. I am still considering wearing it to the wedding I am attending, because it is so pretty, but I wish it fit a bit better. 

Worked perfectly for a black tie optional in a garden setting. Lots of compliments and fit great! 

It hugs your curves in all the right places/ways. I did use fashion tape to make sure the chest stayed in place and to avoid any accidents since I’m on the smaller chested side. It is not very stretchy, but it was comfortable to dance all night in and sit to eat dinner. I got a ton of compliments on it and would definitely consider renting again!

I sized up to leave room in the hips as suggested by others but fortunately arrived early and when I tried on the 4 and 6 the top half fit poorly so requested a 2 and that fit reasonably well. A good length for me to wear with heels but could still take shoes off to dance and wasn’t too long. 

I joined RTR to wear Marchesa! IIRC, the runway version of this dress has 3D butterflies and more poof along the bottom but this is a colorful ensemble that looks so good from the front (a plunge and neckline) and the back (lace up corset tie). The stitching ended up being a bit rougher and not as refined as I imagined it would be, but maybe that’s a mark of the notte line. It’s still stunning and high fashion either way.

Beautiful dress, but not a great fit for me. The 6 would barely zip past my hips/butt, but it fit well up top. I wore the 8 so I could comfortably sit down and dance, but the top was a bit loose. Wouldn't recommend if you have a big butt/hips but aren't very busty.

I loved the look of this dress but it was not right for me. 
I ended up ordering three sizes up to get it zipped and then the shoulder straps were too long and all of my chest was out. 
It’s beautiful but I think longer waisted women who are more slender up top would look great in it. 

It was cute but had a more casual feel than I was expecting
