Fit amazingly - I sized up so it would more like a shift dress and it was great. Ignore the terrible pic - it rained all night long at the concert and it was the best one I could get! 

Wore this on my bachelorette weekend, the night we went bar hoping. It was perfect! Very comfy!

I rented this for my 40th birthday party and it was perfect! I ended up wearing the under slip of the 6 and the over layer of the 8, but either would have worked. The slip snaps at the shoulders so it’s easiest to put them on one at a time. 

This dress was comfortable but still an absolute showstopper! There’s not much shape to it, but the slip’s neckline and long column cut with slit make it flattering. 

I’m 5’4.5 and I loved the length.

Beautiful! Got so many compliments. The dress fit true to size. If you have a larger chest you may think the under slip is a little tight up top, but it is adjustable and easy to fix just right! This is certainly a show stopper and would recommend to all! 

I sized up after reading reviews and wish I hadn’t.  Dress is striking and sexy.  Def scratched the inside of my arms if I wasn’t careful.

The cut of this dress is so flattering and the shell slip underneath is extremely comfortable. The sizing was roomy but I would still consider it TTS. It catches the light so well. Flash On!!! 

I felt so beautiful in this dress I never wanted to take it off! It's a little uncomfortable my nature of the sequins but tolerable! 

Loved this dress!! Was for a themed ‘denim and diamonds’ event and got so many compliments. Went with the recommendation to go a size bigger and was perfect. I did put the slip on first but found it not that hard to get on and off. Probably would have been harder if you are more blessed in the chest area than me. ;)

It did scratch me but had fun putting it on for my 2nd look

Rented for a Roaring 20s gala and loved it! It was a little tricky to get on with the slip attached underneath but I didn't have to wear a bra and was super comfy. Rent this dress!!!

This dress was a true showstopper. The fit was flattering and comfortable, and the sparkle caught the light beautifully without feeling over-the-top. It felt elegant, modern, and timeless all at once, perfect for a formal evening event. I received so many compliments throughout the night. The length was ideal with heels, and the fabric had just enough structure to feel secure while still moving effortlessly. I sized up from my usual size since I’m tall, and the slightly looser fit was perfect and exactly the look I was going for.

Hard to get over head and feels like you may not be able to get it off, but once on and arranged, it was gorgeous! got so many compliments!

This is a fun dress, and I received so many complaints!   Comfortable, just wore nipple covers, it would be hard to find a bra to wear with the low cut back and front. 

I got so many compliments! It was a little hard getting on and off because the slip is connected and was fitted at the top. It also kinda pulled my hair getting it on and off. But, overall I loved it!! It was perfect for my Christmas formal!

Obsessed with this dress! I wore to a gala. Super comfortable. Didn't need to wear a bra thanks to the slip having a little lining in the chest. Used fashion tape on my chest to hold into place for extra security. So stunning in person. I didn't find it to be itchy as others noted.

Felt like the sparkliest girl in the room! Soooo comfortable. I rented the two and the four, but I went with the four because I wanted to feel a little slouchy in the dress, and it was perfect!

Beautiful dress that stands out in a crowd

After reading many reviews, I sized up in the dress. Despite being a little loose, I was able to secure it with a mid-waist belt and dress it up with western inspired accessories for a country concert in Las Vegas. It was fantastic and I received numerous compliments on it!

I can't even tell you how many compliments i received! This dress is a showstopper. The glitter wasn't too much. It was very pretty. Get it I wore size 10 and it was perfect

This was such a unique dress! The fit is almost like a flapper dress. I was planning on wearing a belt to help highlight my waist, but when I tried it on, the dress is best on its own. It's so stunning! The sheer, sparkly overlay was loose, but the fitted satin slip still gave me shape. I am very tall -- the slit was a little high for my liking. But I was just extra cautious when sitting to pull it closed. I'm a size US 8, the 12 fit perfectly! Definitely recommend!

Rented this beautiful dress for my bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs. I felt amazing and it was SO comfortable and just beautiful! Would absolutely buy if I had more glam occasions to wear it for. 

We had a black tie gatsby event I wore this too! It is a one piece, and is heavier than it looks. It is comfortable still, but the chest area is tighter. It did not fit my boobs well but you couldn’t tell.

I wore this to a formal work event and it was perfect. I got so many compliments on this dress. It is a little heavy but not too bad. And the sequins weren’t rough on the back of my arms.

I was complimented on this dress all night! I was really torn between sizes but my regular size was ultimately a better fit as the next size up looked too wide on my shoulders and was too long even in my highest heels! The uppermost ribcage area was snug on me but not a dealbreaker - I was still slouching as millennials do every time they sit down ;) 

I’m a true size 2 and the 6 fit perfectly, so true to size. Arrived with tags and was able to rent before I could even buy it on Shona Joy’s website. Wasn’t tight and it easy to wear. Perfect length and wore 4 inch heels. Tons of compliments! Truly stunning. They’re essentially two dresses. One silk slip and then a separate mesh/sequin overlay attached at the top of the straps. 

Absolutely beautiful. This was the showstopper dress. It was so pretty and I received complements the entire night. A little challenge to put on and take off as there is no zipper but I Eve you wear it, it fits wonderful 

Felt sexy in this dress for date night! Many compliments. Wore the '14' which matched up to my norm 10 size in dresses. I wore a nude Skims underneath- and felt like the arm pit area sat lower and I kept having to make sure my bra wasn't showing. Otherwise- I enjoyed wearing this! 

Quality seemed nice but fit was not right. It was weirdly oversized in the body but tight around my arms and in to my arm pit. Sparkles nicely but just didn't like it on me. I rented the 6 and 8 and both didn't work

Loved this dress! Definitely a show stopper but omg the sizing. Thank goodness I read reviews and ordered a Size 10. Almost got stuck in the size 4. The length sized up was still perfectly fine IMO. 

I rented this dress in two sizes (6 & 8) for a mermaid themed party. The dress is beautiful and photographs well, however it's only a 3 out of 5 for me for functionality. 
One point is off for the discomfort the sequins on the neck & chest area caused. They are scratchy and I couldn't wait to take it off at the end of the night. 
The second point is off for -as others have noted- the slip underneath is extremely ill fitting. The breast area is too big and loose and the mid/bottom is restrictive and tight and creates an unflattering belly pulling. I spent a lot of the night subconsciously covering my tummy as in the photo. I ended up wearing the larger of the two sizes I ordered and the same loose/tight slip issue happened in the size 6 as the size 8. 
It's such a pretty look but not super functional.

this dress is certainly stunningggg. It’s shimmery and if you’re going for mirror ball, this is the dress for you! BUT, as I should’ve known, did nothing for my body shape. It’s a true shift, so my hips didn’t quite fit right in it. Even the bust was a little tight and needed some tape. I wish I would’ve sized up so it was loose and easy to move in. Cute w/ cowboy boots!

Beautiful dress, very flattering and comfortable but the inner layer is a little tight so I would recommend sizing up! (I took it in 2 sizes - 12 and 14 - and ended up wearing the bigger one)

Rented for a 25th anniversary work party (silver/sparkle theme) and this dress SLAYED. I got so many compliments!! It was comfortable and easy to dance in as well. 10/10✨

Wore this to an art event and got a ton of compliments. I went with the larger size so it would be a bit looser and also longer. It was a bit of a challenge to get on and comfortable—the inner slip being attached was part of it, and also, there is a seam that runs under the bust that took some wrangling to get into place.

I loved this dress. It’s absolutely beautiful. I wore it to a Christmas party with a black moto jacket and black heels. It is soooo difficult to get on. When I first arrived, I decided it didn’t fit. The bottom silk layer is tight and I could not for the life of me get it to sit right. But on the day of the event, I followed the advice of another review and turned it inside out to put the layers on separately. Tears were shed and I bled a little from the sequins, but it was beautiful in pictures.

Advice to RTR, separate this into 2 pieces!! Why is it sewn together??

I wore this to a theme work gala, and the sequins were right on theme. The dress is beautiful, but runs very small. I sized up to the 14 and it was kind of like wearing a very scratchy body con. Not comfortable at all, but definitely was a whole vibe. 

This was a beautiful dress, but unfortunately just too big.  I had no problems getting this dress off or on,  I just had to bundle the dress up, like you would when you put a pillow case on a pillow.  The overlay is beautiful and heavy.  The built in slip was too big, and I would have had a boob pop out for sure.

I rented this for the Backstreet Boys Millennium 2.0 concert at the Sphere. I loved that it still looked cute with casual shoes and had so much fun with all the sparkle. It is very itchy at the neck and armpits because of the all the sequins - but totally worth it. 

Getting this dress on truly brought me to my wits end bc the slip underneath is attached (and will prob be inside out) and also it has an extra string in the back and there are just so many holes and you can’t see anything when it’s going on. However, once it WAS on (7th attempt)((I am not exaggerating)), it was very sparkly and fun. Definitely not the most flattering dress as the outer layer hides any shape you may have, but the sparkles make up for it. 🤷🏼‍♀️
If you do end up renting this dress and have any intention of wearing it, I recommend: 
1. turn on the AC so you don’t overheat during the impending frustration
2. turn the sparkle layer inside out and hang it on a shower door or something
3. Put the slip on (whilst sparkle layer is on door)
4. flip sparkle layer on

I wore this to a champagne-themed gala and found it to be a perfect fit for the occasion. It was elegant, comfortable, and I received many compliments throughout the night. While some friends noted that the silhouette doesn’t accentuate curves as much, I agree that it’s more flattering in person than in photos. If you have a fuller figure, it’s worth keeping in mind that the cut offers a more relaxed fit rather than a form-fitting style.
