I sized up. I could have fit in the 8 (my normal size) but I wanted to make sure I was comfortable for the wedding. The material was different than expected but still loved it. I felt amazing in the dress and felt like it was perfect for black tie optional at the shore

Loved this dress. It’s cotton (ish), - not your typical formal dress fabric but it was so cool (literally & figuratively) for a June wedding. It fit perfectly. I loved the form fitting top half with the full skirt. I felt glamorous and comfortable. I had to iron the “ruffles” but so worth it. If it wasn’t so memorable, I’d have bought it. 

I LOVED this dress. I wore it to a wedding 3 months postpartum and was able to wear comfortable undergarments without compromising the look at all. I was SO comfortable and honestly felt beautiful and fashionable more than I could’ve ever dreamed! You would never know by how I looked and felt that the 4 other dresses I tried on wouldn’t even zip up! Just takes finding one good dress! 

I received many compliments on the dress, my date, the hostess at the restaurant, and a random girl walking by. 

This dress is everything. I was hesitant initially but once on, I felt like the prettiest girl in the room. 

This dress fit perfectly and was fun to wear on my birthday.  The material is thick and it’s nice and tight around the waist. Even though I wore it to work, it was a little much. It’s definitely more of a going out kind of dress.

I rented this dress to wear in Paris, and even the French ladies were giving me nods!  The dress fit like a glove!  I would totally rent it again! 

Needed spanx and it form fitted. However, I wore it to dinner and the opera and was quite comfortable for the 5 hour date night. Received so many compliments. It’s a gorgeous dress.

I’ve never gotten so many compliments on a dress. If drop waist makes you nervous, try this dress and you’ll completely change your mind! Extremely flattering, very comfortable, and the perfect amount of ruffles to give your look a little drama. Wore this to a cocktail/semi formal outdoor wedding and it was perfect. 

I loved this dress! (And so did everyone else.) As others have noted, the fabric was heavy, but it was also beautiful -- cotton but a very elegant cotton. The dress is versatile -- casual if necessary, but dress-up if wanted. And easy to wear. Overall, it was just really elegant. I felt great all night.

Absolutely gorgeous. Mid-calf on model/ankle, almost floor on me -- but worked beautifully. And the arm openings were NOT too wide, which is often a problem in a regular fit vs. petite.

Fabric is super soft and the layers on the bottom half formed a beautiful silhouette. I got SO many compliments. Paired it with neutral, strappy heels and green velvet clutch (also a rental). Bag was just the right pop of color to break up the magenta/plum. There's also a touch of green in the dress fabric, but not enough to feel too matchy. 

Great for summer wedding or any cocktail/black tie!

Loved the fit, I'm 5'0" so this was a floor length dress for me, but not too long. 
I'm an athletic build with small chest and broad shoulders. 
I typically wear a medium in leggings and probably a 4 or 6 in pants and shorts. Shirts are usually medium. 

I also loved the dress material (cotton, not stretchy). It was very light and not hot. 

The dress was so perfect, I've been trying to buy one used online. 

This dress felt very fun and unique. The fit was truly perfect for my body. I’m typically a size 12 to 14 with a 36 DDD bust. The 14 was a great fit, didn’t even need a bra if I didn’t want one. Very flattering drop waist and the jewel tones were a hit!

This dress was gorgeous! I wore it at a black tie optional wedding.  It was comfortable, beautiful, and fancy!

I found it ran a bit big. I added a belt for waist definition. The dress isn't light but has a gorgeous bottom.

Length worked for 5’2”. I’m usually a 6 and wore an 8 and it was a bit snug in bust. 

Small was a little snug for me this time, but that's not the designer's fault LOL!  I dressed it down with boots for a rainy date night.  Is there anything Ulla Johnson makes that isn't perfection?!

Wore it to a Latin dance night and loved how it hugged me down to my hips, where the ruffles started. I felt like I looked hot! Just a note, the zipper gets caught on the fabric on either side and was not able to unzip, luckily, I was able to take it off without unzipping the dress

Most complimented clothing item I’ve ever worn. Model picture does not do it justice. High quality fabric and length was perfect 

I am so glad I trusted the reviews on this one. I was skeptical, as I am not typically someone who looks good in a drop-waist dress – – but this one hit all the right places and was flattering. It is true to size – – perhaps even a tiny bit small – –so size up if you’re between sizes. Material did not feel overly heavy or warm.

The fabric is very high quality and print is beautiful! I got my typically size 4 but it was a large in the waist and also pretty long on me. The skirt was fun but almost felt like too much dress for me. I think a size down would have worked better but I still wore it to a work party!

I wore this dress to a wedding and it was great! The material is thick and heavy, but still allowed enough movement to dance. I received a lot of compliments, it was great! 

I wore this to a black tie wedding and felt amazing all night. It was a little tighter across the stomach but I didn't feel like sizing up (157lbs/D-cup) - went with the size 8 because I liked the fit across my back. The fabric is more muted in person, almost like it has a wear from wash but not. That isn't a deterrent, but just FYI for someone expecting a starker contrast to the colors. Overall, loved this dress and felt so comfortable all night. 

 Loved I could wear a regular bra with it. Not too heavy, a good material. It is a drop waist dress, it put me out of my comfort zone a bit and definitely is a stand out in a crowd dress.  I got so many compliments.

Wow, I was banking on this dress working and it absolutely delivered. It's such a unique print and a really fun shape for the dance floor. The material would be a little too casual if this dress had any other silhouette — instead that just made it really comfortable for a long day at a wedding. Petite gals, this is a great wedding guest dress for us! Also, because of the neckline and back, you can wear a bra (I did to give myself a little more shape) but also might not *need* to, so that's a win. Warning: the ruffles make it rather bulky for packing. 

This is a dream dress! My second time renting. I wore boots the first time and switched to heels for this dressier wedding. The fit is perfect and quality is superb. I did a quick touch up with the iron. Rent it! 

Worn to a fundraiser. It fit like a glove! I am 5’4”, 180 pounds and the 10 fit great. I got so many compliments! 

This dress was comfortable and flattering!  Perfect colors for a fall event.  I received so many compliments!  Fits true to size.  I usually wear an 8 and the 8 fit like a glove.  I’m 5’10, 145lbs, 36B.  Perhaps could have gone with a 10 to have a bit more room. So, get a size up for your backup.  Order it, you’ll be glad you did!

Normally size 4-6, 32DD bust. Size 4 fit perfectly - this has a bit of a drop waist, so it's fitted to the hipbone, then flares out. The ruffles give the dress great movement. The floral pattern is gorgeous. I wore this to a wedding, and danced the heck out of this dress. One of my favorites. 

This is such a beautiful dress!  I was lucky to have 2 weddings to attend in the same weekend and none of the guests overlapped so I wore this dress to both.  Fortunately I started looking early and I first rented this dress in a size 6. Well, I couldn’t get it zipped all the way up in back. The size 8 wasn’t available so I rented a 10.  It fit fine and was very comfortable although I think an 8 would have fit fine also. I felt great in this dress and received many compliments!

Wore this on stage for an event and people couldn’t get over it. I was worried the drop waist would t be flattering but turned out lovely. 

I generally wear a 4 to a 6 so I ordered a 4 with a 2 as my backup size based on pictures others had posted and had it shipped to the hotel. It arrived with just one dress and luckily, they sent the 2 as it fit perfectly and I felt very chic and glamorous. 

Beautiful dress. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to wear it. Would love to rent it again. 

I really loved wearing this dress to two weddings. Fit like a glove and very fun.
