I wore this to a formal wedding in the mountains in late October and it was a hit! The fabric is thick and it is lined so it was warm in the cold weather. The dress fit perfectly and was just the right length with a short heel. I dressed it up a little bit with a rhinestone chain belt. I received a ton of compliments!

I agree with other reviewers that I needed to size up with this dress. Unfortunately my backup size, 10R, wasn't available and the 12R was too big. So I didn't end up wearing this dress for my event. The 8R probably could have worked but it smashed my chest down so much that it looked weird.

I ended up not wearing this dress because the weather at the wedding venue was forecasted to be cold. This fabric of this dress is a lot lighter than I was expecting, so not ideal for a fall wedding in the mountains. The dress is unique and sophisticated. The interesting neckline will flap around a bit if you're chasing kids like I was. The waist of the dress is almost empire.

I rented this dress for my anniversary dinner, and it was perfect. The detail on the shoulders makes it stand out compared to a lot of other dresses. The fabric is thick enough that it smoothes out trouble areas a little bit, and it's also warm enough for cooler weather. The neckline was low enough to be flattering, but not so low that I felt inappropriately dressed for a nice restaurant. This is by far my favorite rental and I will definitely be renting this one again!
