Such a stunning dress! It reflects gold mostly, but from another angle, it reflects purple actually. I love how versatile the straps are - you can tie it as a halter or crossback, and adjust the height so you can choose gore deep the V goes.

As the other reviews mentioned, the dress is heavy! The bow is made out of the same material as the dress plus the mesh overlay so there’s very little chance that the bow will maintain its shape on its own. Make sure you fluff it before pictures! Also, I thought it was a polkadot print mesh, but they’re actually little R’s. I personally thought it was really cute, but it definitely came as a surprise. From the reviews I chose to size up but I actually ended up going with my actual size and still the top kept slipping down for me. Definitely a sitting / photo dress, can’t do much dancing in it at all. Super cute and the perfect Emily in Paris birthday dress!

It surprised me how heavy the gown was (but definitely made sense because of all of the sequins), which made me so glad I rented this because I would not know where to store it if I bought the dress! This dress looks amazing especially in videos because it catches the light in all different ways. I will say the ruching at the hips just kind of sat like extra fabric and didn’t really add anything to the silhouette, and I may have preferred a slit to break up the sheet of black sequins, but otherwise this was a great dress and the V neck was very flattering.
