I wore this dress for my bridal shower and it was absolutely breathtaking! I received so many compliments! Every step I took, someone stopped me to take a picture or ogle the dress. I had a vision of what I wanted to look like for my shower and it came to life with the perfect Marchesa Notte number! In regard to size, order a size up just to be safe. Because of the opulent detail and fabric, there is NO stretch in this dress. I am also very curvy so where it was tighter toward the bottom, it was looser on top, but not noticeably enough to alter the look. In regard to shoes: in my opinion, stick to a NUDE pump. I wouldn't even do a gold shoe because it may be a different gold than the dress and clash. Because the dress is so detailed and ornate, an understated closed-toe nude pump is best. I've seen pics of other shoes, sandals, and colors, and they were very off-putting the beauty of this look, so if you rent this, keep it simple. Enjoy!
