This is dressier than it appears in the picture.
It has a slit up the thigh and the ruffles are much bigger. I didn't notice the slit in this from the reviews, and I did not wear this.

I'm petite so this was great on me and not too short! Perfect fit and comfortable. I will wear this a few times before sending it back. Beautiful quality and Marchesa is one of my favorite designers.

The pants hit me oddly and the top was baggy and the legs were too long. Even if I had sized down, it would have been too large. I'm 5' 3".

Everything about this dress was perfect! Sexy yet conservative...I wore a bralette (bra with lace so gives me move coverage) otherwise it was too low cut for me without it. Love the fabric, style, and pattern.
