The sequins are very matte which I think makes it look more elegantly subtle. Sizing must run large. I'm rarely an extra small these days but this dress the xs was a little too big in the mid and lower body, I also didn't have enough boob to keep the strapless side secure. This is a short dress, I'm short and regular sized items are generally too long for me. I expected it to be longer on me. I still wore it but it the hemline felt pretty high for a work party so I added tights for coverage

This was sent as a substitute for a different dress and I feel very blessed for this turn of events. I really didn't expect it to work well with my body but it was great. The shape of the dress allows you to eat and drink with confidence because the tulle skirt will conceal a food baby. I was also hesitant that it would be awkward to dance in but the layers of the skirt can really be worked well into some moves. I received a ton of compliments, like 40+. Two things are worth considering. The material of the top portion looks a little cheap from up close so i recommend having a necklace planned to wear with it because it really needs something to offset that. #2 Do not try to rest your phone (or anything really) on your lap. No how deep you nest it it will slide down and off without warning.
