Adorable pants, but VERY small!
These pants are gorgeous. The peacock embroidery in purples is stunning. I was surprised to find they are unlined, and run extremely small. I am a size 12, sometimes a 10. These didn't make it up past my lower bottom. I can only guess how many sizes small they run- possibly two full sizes? A shame that I'd never be able to wear these, even at my lowest weight. For all you smaller straight figure ladies- enjoy these beauties!

Beautiful gown with some quirks
As a 5'9 woman with C breasts, this shape of dress is typically perfect on me. This particular dress has a beautiful pattern, but in a size 12R, I found the fit wasn't perfect. The issue was the waist was very high on my torso, despite the length being good. Simultaneously, the area around the waist is a bit poofy, so without the belt, it's just not the same. The belt was missing and it made the shape of the dress less desirable. I may try the 12L in hopes that the belt is included with the dress, and the waist hits longer, not just the length. All in all a gorgeous dress, but the fit may need some work arounds, and may not be ideal for ladies with longer torsos.

Great dress in every way, for small - medium chested girls.
This very pretty dress is more of an antique white, than snow white. The back stretches and the top is tight enough it holds C and under breasts in place, high and perky. The fit is on the smaller size. I'm a true 12 and it was a bit hard to zip up, but the zipper has been drycleaned many times as well. The waist and hip area do cut in and it could accent your stomache if you carry your weight there, so be aware of this. It is not a pooch minimizing dress. Spanx slip may be in order. All in all an adorable, and versatile dress that I didn't wear only because I dislike my knees, and at 5'9 this did not cover them. If you are a pear or hourglass with medium to small chest, rent this immediately!

My perfect dress for Bar harbor Maine, except for nip slip adjustments.
As you can see from the picture, the dress is adorable, with a fun shape and beautiful dotted texture fabric. At first look it appears to be the perfect casual, easy wearing, warn weather dress, with a modern shape and print. Only half of that is true. This dress, as cute as it is, is hard work to put on and keep on without flashing people. Here are some tips I feel it's crucial for any lady to know before renting this and thinking they will throw it in their bag for an "easy" summer travel dress: 1) The dress may have to be pressed. When mine arrived, the under material of the skirt seam opening was pressed incorrectly and it looked sloppy 2) At 5'9 the straps were so long on this I could have risked having every bit of my breasts showing, and nubra was useless as you could see it. I feel this dress was designed with the idea the wearer would have the straps taylored. I found that if you tied a ribbon at the back of the neck to tighten the straps that helped a bit. Ultimately the straps should have been safety pinned shorter in the skirt to make it wearable. I imagine lots and lots of fashion tape should be used for this dress too. You could wear a nubra with fashion tape. But you get where I'm going with this... this dress takes some effort. I am a fashionista, but a low maintainance one, and this was not that. As for the fit, it runs fitted in the waist but large ever where else, with little coverage over the chest, and no coverage over the back. With the right bikini underneath this could be an easy throw on and look amazing dress, but otherwise, know you will be spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to cover up your chest to avoid a nip slip (and I'm not shy about deep V cleavage at all). I ended up putting a white cotton blazer over it, and that did the trick for me. Adorable dress, craziest fit of all time.

Fabulous dress for pre-wedding brunch
This dress is not something I would usually wear. I saw it worn by Salma Hyak in a magazine a year or so ago and thought it was bold choice for her, even then. However, my sister chose dark purple as her July Maine outdoor wedding color and asked the guests to wear the same (I know, right?) which is ultimately what lead me to RTR, desperate for a winter color, yet cool, dress in the summer. I found two. This I decided to wear to the brunch I set up for her at the Samset Resort in the VIP room, and it was perfect. I chose the purple Marchesa for the wedding, which was also perfect. However, a few things should be noted about this dress. First, the slip under the dress is very short and tight. It stops just under my rear at 5'9, and the silk is sheer in the skirt so a slip is recommended so that you don't end up flashing anyone when you sit or get out of the car. Secondly, because of the layered, flowing, and open nature of the skirt, it will get caught in your slip in the back and you will exit the bathroom like this if you don't have a friend check, or look in the mirror. Finally, I found the bottom and waist fit perfectly, but it became tight to zip over the ribs... and then there was a lot of extra room... not in the chest where you would expect it, but in the armpit. If you are having a hard time zipping over the ribs, don't necessarily give up. Twist the dress a bit forward on your frame where you can get a better hold. Once you make it past that spot, it zips easily, and you may decide to put a padded strapless bra on to add some volume if you're a pear shape like me. To disguise the extra fabric near the armpit, I just readjusted the layers of silk across the chest, and wore my hair down. Ultimately, this was a great choice for my sister's wedding weekend. The quality was fantastic, and I felt the dress had not been rarely worn, and was in like new condition, which took my rating from a 4 to 5 star.

Cute top, super long straps.
This top would be great for a summer tropical vacation with it's bright print covered in quirky tree frogs. It is a billowing top, which does not flatter all body types, but there's not too much material that it can be tucked into a high waisted skirt or pants to accentuate the waistline if one is needed (like I need). The only issue with the top is the straps. I am 5'9 and have broad shoulders, and they fell down over and over, with very little prompting. For this reason I have to reduce the stars, and let smaller ladies know what they are in for if they rent this piece. I got to the point of pulling them off to the side and wearing it as if the straps were meant to be across my arms for the rest of the day.

Gorgeous high quality lace top
This is a gorgeous top that looks even more expensive in person than it retails for. How often can you say that? It also appeared to not be worn much and was in very new condition. Now for the nitty gritty: I am a size large typically, and go a medium in this and it was still too large. Size down. If it was the right size, it would have looked great on my 5'9 frame, and the shape accents the shoulders beautifully, but because I have a natural Kardashian's shaped body with a bit more weight held in my limbs... it's not a great idea to hide my waist. Over all, I was reminded that wide, billowing tops are best worn by thin women with thin arms. I took a chance, but ultimately have more flattering items to choose from in my closet. If you are thin, and more athletic or straight figured, rock this and you'll look like a million bucks.

Easy to wear everywhere, gorgeous.
Marchesa knows women's bodies. I wore this top with leather leggings and valentino rocketed heels to happy hour in NYC. The top can be dressed up or down, is subtly sexy without being revealing, and could flatter many body shapes. The red is the perfect color red. Most of the top is lined with nude material that gives the illusion that it's se through, be forewarned. And there is a spot right where your tummy chub goes over your pant line that you can see through, so high waisted pants or skirts paired with it are a must, unless you're super human with not an inch of chub on your waistline. A must rent, and I'm considering buying this top for my growing Marchesa collection.

Cute, bright, but the material is not as expected.
This dress fits true to size, and has a lot of stretch. It's not very forgiving so you may have to wear spanx underneath to hide any bulges or lumps. The pattern is bright and pretty, but the material felt unexpectedly cheap to me, especially considering the price. But I'm quickly realizing I'm a material quality snob. It's a soft, stretch fabric, when the shape of the dress makes you feel it would be more structured. The ribbons are structured and were nicely pressed. Definitely don't try to size down to make this too snug, the slit will show the lining if you do, and it's not a good look. All in all, I feel this dress would be fun for a tea party or other girlie event, but men won't find it sexy, at all. The print will conjure up "grandma" for them, most likely.

You can't go wrong with Marchesa as a tall curvy girl.
I didn't wear this dress. I decided on another Marchesa Notte. It was my least favorite I've tried of her dresses, but it's still amazing quality. I'm just to a fan of anything that is short sleeved on my arms. That's not the fault of the dress. Marchesa knows how to make a curvy body look amazing. Pears become hourglasses, booties pop, and everyone can tell your dress cost $$$$ with the perfectly placed lace. This dress is no exception.

High quality lined jumpsuit, with large chest and small tummy/bottom shape.
While I am a "pear" shape, many think my shape is hourglass. This jumpsuit needs to be sized up one size if you have a butt or hips, or at minimum expect to wear spanx underneath just to zip it to the waist.. It's design is to be tight across the stomach and through the hips, and relax into the lower legs, with more space available in the chest, which is an uncommon shape for a jumpsuit. The quality of this is very good, the material and lining make it a rare white item that is not see through. I may try again in the next size up for an upcoming polo match. I feel like this is a forgiving jumpsuit for any shape other than apple, so long as you select the right size for yourself, and you aren't adverse to padded strapless bras if you are on the less chesty side.

Red Hot!
As a curvy girl with a big booty I feared I couldn't wear this. I normally have to accent my waist, and you can tell from the pics this has a lot of extra material that isn't form fitting. Turns out, it looked great anyway, but I feel that was for two reasons 1) my height (don't wear this if you are short and stout, or short waisted) and 2) my confidence and killer accessories - givenchy bag, valentino rockstud heels, and Lanvin love ring. I got looks, compliments, etc. but ultimately, it's a dress that adds ten pounds in photos if you are not rail thin, so tread carefully for events. You can go braless, but I opted to wear a cage bra underneath with great success. The biggest bummer was there was a hole in the skirt where someone stuck a stiletto through that hadn't been repaired. All in all, a chic, italian style dress with a modern flair for the urban fashionista.

Cute jumpsuit but be forewarned about sizing:
This jumpsuit is cute with proper styling. I found the other reviews a bit confusing (is it too big, or too small?), so I want to help a sister out. The legs are short (I'm 5'9 but not leggy - it was a capri jumpsuit on me), the chest and back run really large compared to the rest of the suit, and the cups are situated very low with long straps (on a 5'9 long toro body). I got clever and wore a very sexy complimentary lace bralette under the jumpsuit that looked like it was a built in, which added more chest coverage and cleavage lift, and my date couldn't stop telling me how sexy it was. If you want to look great in this suit I recommend being an hourglass shape, with a larger chest that stays up on it's own, or if a pear shape, utilizing a nubra and filling the vast chest area with a killer multi strand necklace. Or, doing as I did and putting a super sexy lingerie piece underneath that looks like it's a part of the suit's structure for a date night. It also looks great with a blazer over it. And, you may be able to tie the straps in the back in an X to take up more slack for a tighter fit. Left alone, without any of these things there is too large of a chest area exposed, too low, without structure to hold the girls in place, for a balanced or flattering effect, in my opinion. I'm a true 12 with a big booty, and I think I could have sized down... all in all, with the reaction I got, I will rent again, but if I hadn't found a work around with the chest I would have sadly sent it back.

Beautiful colorful silk maxi dress, however read about sizing:
The colors on this dress are beautiful, and shape would make both boyfriends and their parents happy. Unfortunately I was not able to wear the dress. At 5'9 the 12R was very short, even barefoot, and the dress wouldn't zip up the back. I'd say it's about 1 to 1.5 inches smaller in the rib cage than a typical size 12 dress, but there is ample room for a booty (which is where I carry more weight). While I'm listed as a 38C, I'm closer to a 36, so a size 12 usually has no problem zipping up my back. Beyond those details, be prepared to have to steam the dress before wearing as it arrives wrinkled and if you can zip it, someone else will have to help you because the zipper has been dry cleaned enough that, it sticks. Overall a beautiful, quality, maxi. If I rented again, I'd need to go up on size, and go long.
