Breathtaking color and flattering silhouette
This dress is a great color and fabric and super comfortable to wear for extended time periods. I tried it on in the store and was really glad I rented the Kate Spade NY Uptown necklace to pair with it. It needed a little bling, right? It is tight through the bodice, and it runs a bit small, so I ended up wearing a size up from my typical RTR size. Were there pockets? Who cares?! WHY is that a thing with dresses? Carry a handbag, ladies. </rant> I am 5'2" and the train just barely grazed the ground with my 3-ish inch heels. This wasn't a problem for me, only my friend who kept stepping on my train when she walked down stairs behind me. Perfect dress for a fun summer wedding and after party!

So much prettier in person!
Now, I did not actually end up wearing this dress as my primary size was unavailable. I was so happy that RTR still sent the backup size for me to try anyway. I will DEFINITELY be renting this dress in the future. I am pretty consistently a size 10 in RTR designer dresses, but the size 8 in this dress would have been great for me. The size 6 was just too small through the ribcage. It does sit high on your natural waist/ribcage, so that will probably will be your limiting factor. Loved the way the silhouette of the dress accentuated my waist and the high/low skirt works well for this short lady. The bodice is shimmery and looks much more interesting in person than the photographs might lead you to believe. I will update my review and photos once I have dressed up with this gorgeous dress.

Stunning sparkle and comfortable fit!
Pros: this worked great on my 5'1" apple shape (140#), only needed simple accessories since the patterned sequins were just stunning all by themselves, very comfortable to sit or stand in, runs big (I am really a designer size 10 based on the other RTR dresses I have worn), lots of compliments Cons: the zipper is a bit difficult to do because of the sequins and whatnot, said sequins could be a bit scratchy on the under arm, but I just put on some Body Glide (runners, you know what I am talking about) and that prevented any chaffing and discomfort, runs large (order your normal size and a size down) One last thing: the size 8 and size 10 "blue" color were quite different. This, the size 8, was more navy/gray blue and the size 10 was a more vibrant blue/violet color. Both were lovely. Just a note of comparison.

Loved loved loved this dress! I could have worn the size 8, but the lining of the dress under the feathers is a bit restrictive, and I knew I wanted to dance my way through the reception. My normal dress size depending on the cut is 6 or 8 (preferably petite so waistlines fit me at the correct spot), and I wore the size 10. So, if you are curvy, or know you will be moving around a lot or want to sit comfortably, I'd recommend getting your normal size and the size up. The photo was taken at the RTR store, and sadly I do not have a photo of me at the wedding in this fabulous dress.
