Comfortable with sleeves & pockets!
I wore this to a rehearsal dinner in Colorado, and the weather had recently gotten chilly. The dress is very comfortable, I ended up pairing it with a Betsy Johnson belt that accentuated the tight fit on top. I liked the detail of the fishnet texture on top, and the flair of the skirt. The fabric felt very stout. This would be the perfect dress to wear to a holiday party this winter!

beautiful print and flattering shape
I rented this for a wedding but then wore my "back up" dress, as it was more suitable for a formal event. I ended up taking this dress out to brunch with some old friends because I loved it so much and wanted to wear it out! I really loved the print and summery feel, but it was a smidge too long for me (even with 3" heels on). Unfortunately I didn't get a photo standing up, but you can get a feel for the length in this sitting down version!

Too big up top, and lacks waistline but soooo flowy!
I had to tie on a belt to even get a photo of this dress! The bust was just too large for me, there was no way I was going to wear it outside of the house. :) The skirt movement was amazing. I did a few laps around our house with it on just to see how the fabric billowed around me. So romantic and beautiful. For the right body type, this dress would be amazing! Wouldn't recommend for fellow pears like myself.

Really pretty print, just too big for me!
The bodice on this dress was just a smidge too big for me to wear comfortably, so I had to return it. The print is gorgeous and summery. Would be great to wear to a fancy brunch, daytime wedding, or other daytime/summer event. The flow of the dress is very flattering and hides a lot of flaws!

So many compliments!!
This was my "back up" dress, but the second I tried it on I knew it was the one! Many have noted that the fabric is heavy - this is one of the things I loved about the dress. The skirt has a full flair and due to the heavy weight of the fabric it stays "poufed", which is glamorous in and of itself. The pale pink is lovely and could go from being dressed down to dressed up, which worked perfectly for an outdoor wedding at a Boston yacht club. The skirt was perfectly knee length, which kept me cool on the summer day without being too showy or inappropriate. The excellent bodice support never had me worried that the dress would fall - I danced all night without worry. I've rented several RTR dresses but this one got (by far) the most compliments! One older lady told me at the end of the night to never, ever get rid of this dress and to wear it every chance I got. I didn't have the heart to tell her I had to return it the next day. :)

Pretty, but made me big all over & didn't wear
This wasn't the best dress for my frame, so I didn't end up wearing it. What I did like was that it fit very snug - when I'm wearing a strapless dress, I like to know that it's going to stay put! I typically wear a 6 or 4 - in this dress, an 8 fit okay and the 6 fit like a 4. My biggest complaint was that the thickness of the pouf (all over, not just in the skirt), made my entire frame look bigger than it could have. I'm not in the best shape of my life, so some of that is admittedly my own fault (reality sucks!), but the dress I ultimately ended up wearing (Vivienne Westwood's Anglomania), was much more flattering in the waist. Ultimately, if I hadn't had a back up option I would've happily worn this dress - it was definitely comfortable to move in and I would've probably felt more confident in it than I did in the finicky-necked Westwood.

Lots of compliments, in spite of my indecision!
I rented two dresses for this event, and in this dress I did not get a back up size. I was drawn to the drammatic neckline and shimmery fabric - in the end, I opted to wear this one because the other was simply not as flattering on my frame as I'd hoped it would be. I am small up top but big on bottom and this dress works for my classic Pear shape. It was challenging to figure out HOW to wear this dress. When it arrives on the hanger, the neckline looks Just So. You'll look at it hanging perfectly under the plastic and think (naively), "how hard could it be?!". After taking it off the hanger though, you're on your own - the perfect folds melt away without support. I referred back to the model's photo to try to get my dress to work the same way but to no avail. You either have to have her exact measurements, or I didn't have the right size, or that photo is totally photoshopped. I really don't know what the magic trick is, but what I do know is that I fussed with that neckline all evening long. It feels like it sits away from your body too far (so you're constantly checking to make sure the ladies are tucked in), and it's really difficult to make the geometry as shown on the model work. After doing a bit of googling (try "Emma Willis Anglomania"), I made me feel a smidge better to know that celebrities who probably have staff helping them get dressed couldn't figure it out either! In any case, no one seemed to realize what a hard time I was having and I got compliments at the event and at the bars afterwards. At one point a total stranger stopped me to profess how much she loved it! But I have to admit that it was a little odd to get compliments on a dress that I felt somewhat uncomfortable in - I prefer a dress that both looks good and feels good, and gives me the confidence to move around and "work it"!

A no-stress dress for a February brunch wedding!
I was perplexed about finding the "right" dress for a February brunch wedding in Austin. It's a difficult season to plan for, and a semi-formal event at breakfast hours was a challenge! This dress did the trick: spring colors, easy to dress up or down or throw a blazer over. I went to the wedding with a black H&M blazer + green pashmina and as the day warmed up, I was able to remove the layers. My only (minor) dislike of the dress was that the skirt below is a much slimmer fit than the skirt - it gives the mental illusion that the dress is tight when in fact, the skirt is formed so that it stays away from your body. I purchased two jewelry options: one ivory and one green. I expected to prefer the ivory, but the green was a much better pairing. A black belt helped to cinch the dress in a bit - the size 4 still fit a little big for me, which was surprising because I am usually a 6. If I had to guess, the dress was showing signs of wear and has probably loosen a bit from when it was brand new. Overall, a great dress and at a great price. I would definitely rent the runway again!
