I'm usually between a 6 and an 8 but am glad I went with the 8 because while the 6 for it was a bit tight & the 8 was much more comfortable. There was enough padding in the bust that I didn't need to wear a bra. The bust felt slightly too big at first, but adjusting the straps helped and fit well enough I wasn't worried about a wardrobe malfunction! It is a fairly long dress but with 3 inch wedges it wasn't an issue for me. The dress was beautiful with weight to it but I didn't get overheated dancing in it. It was perfect for a formal ish event!
