Gorgeous dress. It zipped up but it was extremely body con. I had rented with the intent of wearing a more shape defining dress but it was very snug in hips, tummy and bum. I am usually a 14, sometimes a 16. If it was available in an 18, it would have been perfect. I had no interest in wearing Spanx all night. I would have been too warm and conscious. The cleavage area isn't as transparent as the model pic shows but you can see skin in the right light.

The smallest size it is available in is 14w. It was generous and stretchy. Easy to wear style and very comfortable. The dress is better suited for a colder climate. Florida in August, it was too warm. It's a heavy crepe fabric that does not breathe very well. The dress is simple and in my opinion required accessorizing. Worn without statement pieces, it blends into the crowd. The dress is a deep navy and some thought it was black. The fit through hips and tummy was generous, more of a size 16 fit. The chest had ample room. The bum was covered by the cape. Length also was spot on, even though I'm taller. Overall, amazingly comfortable and so stylish. I received a ton of compliments on it.

I wore the 14, with 16 as a back up based on other reviews. The arms were not generous, and had very little give. I don't have problems often with arms fitting tight, so I was glad that this fit well through the biceps. The forearms fit loose, bell'ing out. Button closure at wrists were left unbuttoned so I had arm mobility. Chest fit was a little snug but not horrible. Strapless bra is a must. When lifting my arms, the chest would rise and not lay flat. This is not the dress to wear to go dancing but was great for corporate setting, fashion forward conference. The length was great too, as I'm taller and have some booty and hips, they sometimes can make a dress to short for me. Overall, a great dress. If I were wearing it to have high mobility in, I would have worn the 16 for room for activities.
