No stretch in this fabric and a seam around the waist. I could have fit the 6, but sitting down after a meal would have caused some rolls, so I went with the 8. I liked the cape/sleeve detail. I have farmer's tanned arms (proud of them!) and the sleeve hid the tanline nicely. I liked the pattern and felt it didn't need much jewelry; I only wore a bracelet and some quiet earrings.

I wore this to a funeral and it was perfect. This dress can mix with formal suits or informal khakis/polos. The fabric is stretchy. I am normally between a S and a M (in the 4-6-8 range) and a S was perfect for me. I wore it with flats and no jewelry and for the occasion it was perfect.
