First and foremost, this is a gorgeous dress. It stands out and is a complete head turner! I felt like a movie star! BUT..... If you rent this dress, size UP!! It runs SMALL!!! I wear a size 4 and ordered the 4R & 6R. I ended up wearing the 6R. My husband and I had to fight that dress to get it zipped up. Luckily, we won, but it was quite a struggle. I could have easily worn the 8R, but I called & it wasn't available. I wore a body shaper (just to make it easier to zip from the seam up). No bra is needed with this dress. It was the perfect length with 4" heels. There is a slit to about mid-thigh front & center. Just enough to show off some leg but not reveal too much. It is a bit cumbersome (I had to lift it up a lot, especially up & down stairs), but I felt ok walking around in it. There is also a slight train that was stepped on quite a bit! As far as my experience with RTR, I wasn't as impressed this time..... The dress was advertised as true to size. It absolutely is NOT! I had only the stylist's review from which to base my decision on what sizes to rent and felt misled. The 4R was in perfect condition (looked like it had never been worn). The 6R was a wrinkled mess. I ended up having to iron a ballgown! Thankfully it's a polyester material and I could do that because I wouldn't have had time to have it steamed & pressed. The thread was pulling apart in the front where the bodice attached to the skirt (because its so tight) and there was a hole in the lining from the last persons heal. Both minor issues that no one but the wearer would notice. Also, the "eye" part of the hook & eye clasp at the top of the zipper was missing. Again, I'm sure, because its so tight, the last person probably struggled like I did to squeeze into it! I thought RTR took care of the dresses in between wearers? I feel that it's only right that everyone who rents and spends the same amount of money on a dress from RTR is entitled to a dress that is taken care of properly and ready to wear.

I ordered this dress in the 2R and 4R after reading the other reviews about the material being stretchy. I wore the 2R because it was definitely stretchy! The top was almost too loose even though I'm a 34D. The bra strap snaps & a little dress tape came in handy. I wore a regular bra, but had to use a low back converter to keep it from peeking out. The length was perfect. I'm 5'4" and wore 4" heels. The back of the dress is slightly longer & it took a little getting used too. But by the end of the night I was a pro & danced up a storm with no problem! This dress was amazing and so was my first experience with RTR! I can't wait for our next ball to Rent the Runway again!
