I rented this dress in a 4R and chose the 2L as my backup because the reviews mentioned that the R sizes tended to run on the short side. That was definitely true - if I had worn the 4R, I would have had to wear flats, but with the 2L I was able to wear heels (and ended up wearing higher heels because the dress was a bit long otherwise). It's a beautiful dress, and I received SO many compliments on it. The material had a little give (great to accommodate a night of dining, drinking & dancing!) and I didn't have any issues with the sequins rubbing or irritating my skin, which sometimes happens with sequin dresses. This dress made for a great first RTR experience!

I ordered the 2 as my backup and I'm glad I did because the 4 was a little big on top for me - in both the chest and waist area. I am definitely small chested, so I could see if you had a bigger chest, you might want to size up for your backup rather than down. I always tend to overestimate my size, so I'm going to say this dress was "true to size," mostly because I think I should have gone with the 2 as my original and had the 4 as the backup. I'm usually between a size 2 and a 4. It was a good length (maybe a teeny bit short, but nothing I wasn't comfortable with), and the colors weren't too harsh against my pale Chicago winter skin. It's easy to accessorize because of all the color options. I received several compliments on the dress at the wedding, and it looks great in the photographs. I would definitely buy this dress if I could find it - I may end up renting it again sometime (ha!). Great RTR!
