I went up a size from what I normally wear in A-line dresses, but this was not A-line at all. The seams settled on my hips in a very unflattering way. I ordered this to wear to a wedding welcome party, and I did not end up wearing out of the house. If you're heavy in the hips - consider going up a size or two, or skipping this dress altogether.

I am a petite and curvy, and the waist on this dress felt too long and a touch tight. I read lots of reviews and was confident that it would work for me, but I needed another size up to feel comfortable in width - and I would have needed a petite version for height. Next time I need a dress for a wedding, I think I'll use 2 of 4 of my pieces as 2 size options of the same item, so I'm not stuck again. I recommend doing that for this particular dress, given the specific proportions around the waist. The material is pretty, but I thought it would have more shape, as well. It isn't as stiff and structured as the pictures led me to believe. You could still get away without a bra if you wanted to.

I didn't end up wearing this top out of the house. I could see my jeans straight through it, and I had hoped to wear it to class. I didn't feel comfortable with the transparent fabric, so I never wore it out of the house.
