Rented this dress for a fall wedding. I'm 5'3", 160 lbs, 36F. Ordered the medium with a large backup. The medium fit my body the best and was very flattering, but I couldn't get it zipped up because my ribcage/boobs were too big. I wore the large and didn't have to wear shapewear since it was a looser fit. The ruching also hides any stomach/hip imperfections. Wore nude block-heeled sandals. I think black shoes would be a bit too much. I received compliments all night long.

I went with the XL because it had a little more give on my thighs. I recently lost some weight and wanted to show myself off. This was a great dress to do it. I received compliments all night long. I loved this dress!

I am a size 12 but generally size up to 14 or 16 in dresses. After reading several reviews on this dress I decided to order a 12 and a 10 as backup. I wound up wearing the 10 and it fit perfectly. I received a ton of compliments. It was a heavy material. I wore it for an outdoor June wedding. It was hot. This would be better served for an indoor event or a cooler time of the year. I would definitely wear this dress again.
