built in bra and boning which made it very comfortable, and the material is very thick so you don't have to worry about undergarments showing through. It is very tight under the bust for the size but had a lot of room in the bust area. Comfortable. I ordered two dresses in Long and was very surprised at the length, only able to wear a 1 1/2" heel for the dress to hit the floor. It looked like both had been cut and re-hemmed. Definitely not 'long', compared to a BU dress I ordered in a long size. I wore it to an event that I had to stand and sit a lot of times and the hooks holding the back train did come undone a number of times.

This is a dress you don't need to worry about wearing any shape wear underneath. There is a little give in the front under the waistband which makes it very comfortable. The V neck is also not too low so you can wear a regular bra. I wore a 4L which was great for my height and 3" heels. The dress material is on the heavier side due to the sequins but not heavy that you feel it through the night.
